So Fox pays the largest known settlement in U.S. history and boots the infotainer who spins lies and conspiracy theories for ratings, and the MAGAturd whataboutism pivots to general, unsubstantiated accusations that at all other media endities have lied. 

There's a big difference between making a mistake and knowingly and melicously spreading false information, which MAGAturds still cling to despite hugely incorrect nature of the information for which they thirst because it aligns so nicely with their political paradigm.

But that's OK, this country is alienating and minimizing that aspect of our society.

You guys act as if libel is something that is just cavalierly thrown out there. FOX News hosts went out and lied that Dominion was compromised and purposely rigged the election in favor of Biden. At that point you are purposely interfering with a company and affecting their ability to make money as a company.

Dominion asked for retractions and FOX refused. Dominion then sued. They also got texts between people at FOX news where they admitted they knew they were fabricating these stories but they ran with them anyway. At that point a lawsuit is filed and back in the the summer FOX knew they were in trouble.

It went to court and FOX settled because they knew they were up schitt's creek. The fact that the other media companies have not been hit over their "lies" would indicate they are not lying, or at the very least not in a libelous manner that would be affecting people in a similar fashion to the Dominion stuff.

The Dominion thing is the old adage of correlation does not equal causation. Certainly that isn't why Tucker got fired. It seems like there was a culture of mistreating women behind the scenes at his show which played into his firing. I don't think some of the texts and comments he made that were uncovered as part of the Dominion stuff helped his case though.

Another canard.  Tucker was fired for his Jan. 6th coverage for showing real video and for not wanting to accept more editorial control of his content.  Period.  Nothing else matter.  All any of the major media cares about is messaging and controlling the narrative whether it be the New York Times, CBS, CNN, MSNBS or Fox.   Major media outlets main objective is propaganda to influence public opinion.  That is why they exist. A free media which serves to inform the people is a relic of the distant past.

Fox knew all about what was said concerning the Dominion lawsuit a long time ago. It was reported. Right here at the GC as a matter of fact.  He’s been going after the sacred cows for a long time. He’s gone after Lyndsay Graham and then a few minutes later Hannity would have him as a guest. The pharmaceutical thing was a bridge too far. If you people think the number one cash cow for the networks didn’t say something to Murdoch you’re out of your mind. When is the last time anyone on any network took them on?
