By buddy's 16 year old daughter wants to get a small stud in her nose.  I told him my daughters wouldn't get one till 18.  Id be concerned about funk and the impression it may convey in school/work interviews. Maybe I'm just too old fashioned.  Most employers are too caught up on whether you exude whiteness more than a nose piercing. What say ye geek dads?

Edit to add:  In my experience, the girls that had the piercings were the ones you could usually stretch a stand-up double into a triple or inside the park home run with.

I wouldn’t hire anyone with nose pierced or visible tats. Sorry. Told my daughter if she ever gets a tattoo she can’t live at my house.

Become an adult at 18 and choose for yourself. Parents should have no rights to approve of their kids to  fock up their bodies prior to them being adults.

I pierced girls under 10 a few times.

Why don't you have a seat right over there...

You’re old. They’re all doing it these days

They're all sucking cack too. It's your job as a father to try to stop it.

Was at Cosmetology school. I didn't sniff her hair while I was doing it.

Pretty much all piercings. Tongue rings = ho. I've never gotten a bj with one to compare if it's actually better.

Nipple rings are gross.

Belly button rings are ok on a flat stomach, but what isn't?

Anything below the belt is ugh.

An eyebrow ring?  A lip ring?

What in the actual fock?  These people are mentally disturbed and should not be allowed drive or vote.

My gf has a nose ring. It looks great on her. A small hoop. But she's also gorgeous so that helps.

I picked 18+. Not in my house until they're legal adults; I can't tell them what to do forever, but I can until 18.

Let me put it this way.  If a Blake Lively or whomever you put as a 10 suddenly got a nose, eyebrow or lip ring.  They immediately drop to a 6 for me.

I judge it harshly.  It's like people that own pit bulls.

We made our daughter wait until 18.  She’s the one with diabetes so hygiene is important with piercings, which is part of how we justified the wait.  Although she had been very good with ear piercings.

Piercings are often done young around here, with the Hispanic influence and all.

She is the artsy one of the family; she’s studying fashion so it won’t exactly hurt her in an interview in her field.  Also if she doesn’t want it, she can just take it out.

My kidsnlove tatoos...

Seems like they all do. Everyone has to express their individuality, ironically by doing the same sh!t everyone else does.

The really bad one is the focking ear guages. That requires surgery to undo. We weren't even allowed to employ those fockers at waffle house.

Nothing wrong with a nose piercing.  Nothing wrong with nip piercing.

I got blown by a girl with a tongue piece and couldn’t even feel the piercing.  The girl was also deaf.

Are you sure she wasn't blind, too.

18+. Legally an adult so she can decide (and pay for it) herself. Same goes for tattoos.

Not a fan of either, but at some point you don't have a say.  If you did your job as a father properly then piercing/tats will not equal ending up on the pole.

At age 15 maybe 16, my daughter wanted one of those piercings that go between the eyes.  Wife (now ex) and I were in complete solidarity against.  After a week of trying to convince us, our daughter gave up.  She's 27 now, no piercings except the ears.

I really don’t see the big deal with a small stud or hoop. Some of you fellas are talking tramp stamps and ear gauges, that’s a whole different ball o’ wax

Agreed.

Those gigantic ear gauges fall into an entirely different category.  🤮

You think anyone ever goes straight for the ear gauges? No, it starts with the stud or hoop.

You want the message not to deface your body to be consistent. I'd prefer the tramp stamp. That can be hidden easily enough.

And if she just has to have one, what's wrong with the magnetic ones? Looks the same and doesn't leave a hole or scar.
