Well I typically get the flu shot each year. I guess if I was a complete dumbass I could take that as evidence that the flu shot doesn’t work or the flu is all a hoax or whatever. But since I’m not a total politics-driven idiot I tend to go with what the medical professionals say.

So most likely I’ll get the boosters unless and until there’s some actual medical determination that they don’t work as opposed to the rantings of some nut on a lightly trafficked Internet forum

Along those lines, with all the tech in the US that is completely unnecessary, can  we get rid of the f****** paper cards? At this point, our Healthcare portal at least should contain a record that we can access and export immediately.

Mostly because people weren't told they'd need a booster after they got the first 2 doses (or 1 of J&J).   We're having a hard enough time getting people to take it in the first place, it'd be even harder to get people to take it even more.

Well you're ignoring my first sentence.  And if enough people refuse, yes it will stop businesses from mandating it.   Also as I posted in one of the other threads, a lot of the "requirements" aren't really "requirements" when you read the fine print (along the lines of Worms' post that there's really not that many places even requiring it now).

I think the things that we have the hardest time wrapping my brains around oh, is that we had a different view of vaccine proud of this. You vaccinated against polio and it was gone! You're safe.

 

This vaccine at least right now doesn't prevent you from getting infected, but from everything I've seen, it does a damn good job of keeping you from dying.

I'm 51 now, don't have the immune system I did at 25. My parents are both up in years and high risk - if the medical doctors/experts tell me to keep taking boosters, I'll do it. Given the world we live in and all the other shiit we put in our bodies, I'm hardly scared of something the FDA is okay with - my Chicken Little, Sky Is Falling days are over.
