Can always count on the GC - land of the armchair economists, politicians, scientists, medical experts - all more knowing than the professionals.

I'm 51 now, don't have the immune system I did at 25. My parents are both up in years and high risk - if the medical doctors/experts tell me to keep taking boosters, I'll do it. Given the world we live in and all the other shiit we put in our bodies, I'm hardly scared of something the FDA is okay with - my Chicken Little, Sky Is Falling days are over.

Economists in 2007- the economy is roaring-

Politicians- Let’s go to Iraq. They’ll love us

Scientists- well, they started all of this in their lab

Medical experts- smoking is good for you.

You’re right, we shouldn’t question the “professionals”.

Same here with not getting the shot yet. I'll prolly give in once the mighty FDA approves the Phizer one in a few weeks, though.

I  might only get one.  From what I've read, they recommend getting at least one shot if you've already had COVID so it can boost immunity.  They prefer that you get two but to at least get one as a booster.

When does it move beyond just being a “clump of cells”, moderate guy?

Abortion is a very difficult subject.  I'm not in favor of abortion but I still think there are certain situations where the woman should be able to have one.  In my opinion there is a lot of gray area for this.  I think it's alright to terminate a pregnancy if it's very early and the later it gets into pregnancy the more I am against it.

If you have it you have it - can spread it.... The vax has proven to lessen your likelihood of catching it though - by large numbers in fact.

:o  I had not heard this.

I think a reasonable compromise is first trimester. If you haven't figured out you're pregnant and taken steps by then, fock you.

Absent health of the mother. That applies the whole way.

I wish we could just reach something like that and settle the issue forever.

You can question them, sure. But bottom line you know absolutely nothing about any of this stuff. So you’d have to be pretty focking stupid to think you’re smarter than the experts on the subject. You’re just not, period. And neither am I.

The issue is not who is smarter. Or who is more educated on a given topic.

The issue is who is controlling the experts? Experts are like everyone else. They have to pay the bills. They're all employed by the government, or large corporations, or universities. They aren't independent.

Flip to the back of any bar association magazine, and you will find ads for expert in every field under the sun, who will by and large say what you pay them to say.

Question them as long as you do what they say.  Got it.

You actually believe that BS? Did you fail science in high school? Once you get covid, you have natural immunity which is infinitely better than the failed jabs....since they are a failure. People left and right who were jabbed are getting covid.

What you do is listen to all of them and weed out the bullshitting idiots like fauci, wallesky and anyone pimping the jabs.

It depends.  Will there continue to be variants every year?   Will this thing wear out eventually for whatever reason?

:dunno:

Obviously nobody here, with the possible exception of peenie who never says anything about covid, is qualified to say...

But my opinion out of my ass is that this is the new normal, and we will be dealing with new variants for the rest of our lives.

I should believe you though?  😂  You know that our natural immunity declines against a virus over time, right?  If I didn't believe in my immune system at all I would have gotten the vaccine right away, but since I did well in science and biology I didn't get the vaccine yet.  Use your common sense.

The only people I know who have tested positive 2 different times are people that were vaccinated prior to 2nd positive test.

No, the vaccine gives you a weaker immunity than natural immunity.

According to fauci, if you take a 3rd shot of the juice, you will be much better.

That won't end well. The psycho CDC guy said it perfectly. 'We have no idea what ramifications this crap will cause 5 years from now, that's why we need to inject children,...so we know."

Yes, unless it was a false positive. Not all immune systems are the same, some people never get sick and others are sick all the time.

The one thing we all know is the more you take,  the higher the chances of bad side effects.
