All I want is one new law - no commercial firearm/ammo sales.  Keep whatever you've got. Buy as many as you want on the private market.  Just no new guns or ammo sold commercially.

Gun violence rates will slowly plummet with that policy. Don't even have to change the Constitution. Bear arms to your heart's content.

Yeah, that’s a hard no from me dawg.

How focked up would it be to be the parent of this kid?

The parents looked pretty focked up white trash which we have a lot of in Oxford.

Maybe both of you shouldn't wear your bass pro shop hat to the arraignment of your son who will die in jail.

"1 in a million" isn't exactly accurate when the US averages 300+ people shot and 100+ killed - EVERY DAY.

I get your point - the vast majority of gun owners are responsible. I'm one of them. But the one's who aren't cause an intolerable amount destruction. As the saying goes "they ruined it for everyone." Someday, America will have strict gun laws like every other first world country.  But there's a whole lot of death and destruction coming our way before that day gets here.

300 million people in usa...300 people shot per day.. the math works..1 in a million

Ban black people from possessing guns and our gun violence rates fall close to those of Canada and the EU.

Call it racist all you want but it's the truth and I'm tired of pretending otherwise.

That is 100% racist.  No doubt. It is by definition.  :dunno:

However from a blind study, scientific matter of fact, your hypothesis stands up.  :dunno:

Just got off the phone with my good buddy who I go hunting with. His daughter was in the south hall where it happened. She was the only one in that hallway to not get shot. She dragged one of the girls who got shot in the chest into an empty classroom and locked the door and plugged her wounds until EMS arrived. She saved that girl's life. My friend said she has regret because she didn't drag another girl into the room (who survived) because she thought she was dead.

Her name is Heidi and she's a hero.

You gotta ignore the stupid.  I've been pretty good at it.  I slip once in a while, but too many others slip way too often.  If people start ignoring it, interest would be lost.

True. A good trolling once on a while is cool, sometimes funny. This fool knows nothing else and isn’t funny.

The prosecutor seems to want to go after school officials now as well considering they were legally able to search the student's back pack but chose not to do so.

I'm not opposed to that. Because the reality is we are never going to do anything about guns from a personal responsibility level for a number of reasons so making institutions more cognizant of their role to try and curb this violence is at least a plan of attack. Of course this will lead to some schools putting in metal detectors and more random searches and that stuff and people will scream "YOU CAN'T DO THAT! MAH FREEDOM!" and it will all fall apart. But got to try something- especially if there was a breakdown in the chain of command in this instance.

Maybe a few will say something, but schools have been putting in metal detectors at school entrances for years, pretty sure that's settled law.

My plan is to get Heidi the highest award we can give a non-military/federal civilians.

I received approval from the DCG to start the process.

That prosecutor is really focking things up. The Sherrif had no idea she was going after the parents. Instead of bringing them in, she held a press conference. Also, that counselor she's going after is an upstanding member of the community. He's well-liked and I think he did everything he could.

For her to say this was 100% avoidable was wrong too. Hindsight is always 20/20

Legally, you obviously can't do that.

But you can require potential gun owners to pass a swimming test first.

School shootings went Way down during the pandemic.

Funny you say that. Oxford was the only school in Oakland county to have students face to face all last year.

Is the is personal responsibility you mean?  If you are convicted of a crime with an illegal gun I suggest a mandatory 25 years.
