Twitter adopts 'poison pill' to prevent Elon Musk takeover

How often did Murdoch buy and bury stories?  Just for  window of time in 2016?  Doesnt sound like a high enough frequency to be a true problem.

He bought a bunch of unfavorable stories to Trump.  But the real kicker is that these stories NEVER saw the light of day thanks to him buying them.  Twitter may have suppressed stories but they were widely reported in other outlets.

Murdoch buying and burying stories is a much much bigger deal.

Musk is a hero to people who believe in a free and open society.  To people who believe they need safe spaces, and that facts are violence, that kids need to be sexualized, that the state loves kids more than parents, that America generally sucks....to those people Musk is Satan.

Or maybe.  Just maybe.  He is neither, he is simply a businessman trying to make as much money as possible.  Everything he has done has been with that goal in mind.

One of them explicitly wrote something along the lines of "we looked for interactions from the trump camp, but couldn't find them.  We're think they exist, but we just couldn't find them."

That should be good enough evidence that Twitter was acting at Trump's request for some in this thread.

This sounds like possible evidence Musk cherry-picked what was sent to them, since he says “we were told they exist, but they were absent here”

Musk vs. the government. This is awesome. Musk is a liberal too.

He just cares about free speech. Liberal democrats in this country do not like that. What a riot.

Liberal publications are now referring to Barri Weiss as a conservative journalist. Too funny. They are obsessed with grouping their enemies.

He mostly cares about making money, nothing wrong with that of course.  Portraying the new twitter as better than the old twitter will help him do that.

Haha at sarcasm.  I've been here long enough to know how you boyos think.  There was literally a thread called liberals pushing pedos or something.  Note there's not thread called why are cultist such racist.  Although that'd be way more accurate.

Well I was told they needed the meetings to develop a strategy to take down unwanted tweets.

The strategy:  email links of unwanted tweets.

They needed weekly meetings for that?  I mean I know government workers are incompetent, but wouldn’t think that would’ve been the case for twitter

No Tim, they didn't need a weekly meeting for that, which should make you ask yourself why they had those meetings.  Could it be that they didn't want emails of the, let's just say, less than TOS kinda things being out there?

Which reminds me, since I've said this about 9723142931 times, can you reply and confirm that you understand that I would be surprised if the FBI put any of the Hunter or election interference stuff in writing?  That way the next couple dozen times you say "but there isn't something in the drops about it$#@!" I'll know you know my position.  TIA

Former Twitter exec Yoel Roth? He’s a groomer. And probably a pedophile. No wonder there was child porn on Twitter and nothing or very little was done about it. You would think it would have been the priority.

I know democrat cultists are insanely racist. It’s amazing how much they hate minorities that don’t bow down to liberal indoctrination

There’s no evidence of my belief? It’s because “they” are super secret spies who never leave a trace! 🔎

In related Twitter news, Musk reminded his employees that revealing company secrets is not allowed! 🤦‍♂️

He wants to make sure that any “leaks” come only from him to fit his narrative. So much for transparency.

You seem to be backtracking a bit.

Initially you said something to the effect of “what, you expect the government to put in an email that they are violating the first amendment”?

I replied that what I would like to see was examples of tweets that the government requested to take down, where twitter complied, that did not violate the TOS.  I believe you said that was a reasonable request.

But now you seem to be doubting even that exists.  You are certainly welcome to your opinion that “it’s obvious” there was government interference, but ultimately an opinion is all it is.

Yoel Roth wrote his thesis about minors having access to grinder. Perhaps someone should look at Elons tweet about him today, not two months ago. 💥

He didn’t really give an opinion, just says “this explains a lot” and linked to the thesis.  Oddly he did not admit that he must have misjudged his “integrity”

Yup, now we know why they really really had to shut down the term groomer. Explains a lot.

How much more do they need to see......... Most get it by now.

It’s a weird combination of arrogance and insecurity.  Insecure about how arrogant they have been. See, they are with the really, really smart people, so that must mean they are smart too, and the rest are stupid.

Shows you how dishonest and hacky leftists are. Pull a tweet from 2 months ago not related to the subject and skips over the one that covers the subject from today.

Your inability to draw even the simplest of conclusions, when it doesn't fit your narrative, is quite remarkable.  The rest of the world knows that that is exactly what he did with that tweet.

Either I misunderstood your earlier post or I guess I am backtracking, because I would be surprised if there is anything other than clear TOS violations that were documented in email.

You can continue to believe that Twitter met with the FBI for the first time about the Hunter laptop 15 minutes after the shiot hit the fan; ask yourself how that went down.  FBI calls... Roth?  "Meeting.  15 minutes.  Make it happen!"  And they collected everyone in 15 minutes for that first ever meeting to discuss... what exactly?  The FBI brow beat Twitter for taking action on something they never discussed?

Just because a tweet says they met shortly after doesn't mean they didn't meat before.

The link I sent earlier details in sworn testimony what the FBI talked about with Twitter and other social media companies (section 3). You don’t need to guess. Or you can read the testimony directly from the court transcript…

They met before, but there’s no indication they met “about the laptop” which is what was claimed.

Yes, obviously Musk’s more recent tweet was not complimentary of Roth.   My comment particularly about him not admitting he misjudged him was more attempting sarcasm (maybe a poor attempt, my apologies).  I think a lot of people are not aware that Musk had made the prior comment about Roth, and honestly probably assume Roth was fired when in fact Musk wanted to keep him but he quit.

They clearly have emails where the government shared specific links of tweets they wanted removed.

I would like to see more of those, and to see if those tweets violated the TOS.

IMO, I am skeptical considering the tweet’s Taibbi specifically chose to share for his “historic” report clearly violated the TOS.

So showdown banning was not only a real thing, it is far deeper and more manipulative than any even believed.   These tech giants are manipulating the internet to monopolize information, politics, and commerce.   They are the modern day lords which we must bow down to and pay them our tax.  Leftist ignorantly support these evil practices of the tech giants because they currently advance their political causes.   This will not always be the case, so beware of the monsters you help create, you have no guarantee they will remain loyal to your cause.
