Sean Mooney 1,984 Posted February 10, 2023 I watch The Godfather in one of my classes with students and have seen it many many times. I can tell you that movie forward and backward. I've seen Frozen many times too because it was my oldest's favorite movie. I can tell you that movie forward and backward too.

Last Friday, their mom wasn't expected to arrive back from out of town until late evening, so my wife brought the girls to our house for movies and pizza. We watched the remake of "The Lion King" and then "Babe 2," neither of which I'd seen before. They were both pretty great. I think "Babe 2" is better than the first one. Was that the live action Lion King?

Sean Mooney 1,984 Posted February 10, 2023 We rotate family movie selections in our house. So some of the time my oldest daughter selects the film, sometimes my youngest does. Sometimes my wife does and sometimes I do. My nights we've watched stuff like The Karate Kid and The Mighty Ducks.

The third one is easily the weakest of the three. Sofia Coppola is really bad in it and the plot is jumbled. Coppola in 2020 put out a new recut version of it and it is better than the original version. It doesn't change a lot of the movie but the opening and closing are better and thus it makes it a marginally better film.

People who've seen the movie: "It's because the movie is about the actual Lightyear person in canon and the Allen voiced doll was based on it." HT: "Who has time to talk about a kid's movie?" People: "You can read things online." HT: "Reading is hard and I don't know how to work Google." 1 2

Hardcore troubadour 15,518 Posted February 10, 2023 We watch AFV nearly every Sunday. If we miss it for any reason we watch the recording later in the week. Alfonso is great. Good clean fun, no BS. Not surprising it’s lasted so long.

They are meant for all ages and people of all ages enjoy them. The first Toy Story movie came out in 1995. I was only 12 so I grew up with these movies, just like most adults with young kids right now. I know you are a very insecure person but no one would doubt your manliness if you watched these movies. I'm a bit older than you and never watched Toy Story when it came out, but when my oldest got into it, we would watch it several times a month. I have fond memories of being outside swimming, then we would come inside, watch Toy Story together, good times.

I guess he said Karate Kid was good, as was Back to the Future. Nothing else besides Star Wars stuck with him for multiple viewings. Hell, rewatching them and many u don't think are that great anymore, but a few stick. The almost 8 year old will be worse, I think. She likes science stuff and movies with music, but we will see. I don't care if they don't like stuff I do or did, and I assume I chase the rest of my family away from movies with my constant yapping about them.

When you're watching a movie together, watch the movie, make a joke, laugh out loud when something funny happens, ask a question, show your kid you're interested in them. This builds bonds, shared experience, shared emotions.

We went out for breakfast the other weekend, and family sits next to us, they give the little kid the ipad, of course, just like every other little kid, has to stare at an ipad at the table these days, then there was another pre teen kid, whips out her phone, then both parents are on their phones. My teenage daughter commented on how sad it was.
