The vitriol towards people focking monkeys is proof of your racism.  How dare white people comment on other cultures and what they choose to do with primates!  :nono:

Btw the proper term is "Monkey Attracted Persons" you bigots.

Monkeypox | Poxvirus | CDC

https://www.cdc.gov/poxvirus/monkeypox

Monkeypox was first discovered in 1958 when two outbreaks of a pox-like disease occurred in colonies of monkeys kept for research, hence the name ‘monkeypox.’ The first human case of monkeypox was recorded in 1970 in the Democratic Republic of Congo during a period of intensified effort to eliminate smallpox.

———————-

Human monkeypox was first identified in humans in 1970 in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in a 9-year-old boy in a region where smallpox had been eliminated in 1968. Since then, most cases have been reported from rural, rainforest regions of the Congo Basin, particularly in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and human cases have increasingly been reported from across Central and West Africa.

A vaccine designed to fight smallpox being 85% effective against an STD from focking monkeys is a good start. No?

And you believe it is a vaccine if it is 0% effective, who is closer to the truth.

It's a shame we didn't do the same with covid. America might still be enjoying Trump's booming economy.

Other interesting quotes from the link.  I bet they get updated!

People who receive JYNNEOS TM are not considered vaccinated until they receieve both doses of the vaccine.

...

For most persons who have been exposed to monkeypox, the risks from monkeypox disease are greater than the risks from the smallpox or monkeypox vaccine...most people who get the smallpox or monkeypox vaccine have only minor reactions, like mild fever, tiredness, swollen glands, and redness and itching at the place where the vaccine is given. However, these vaccines do have more serious risks, too.

Based on past experience, it is estimated that between 1 and 2 people out of every 1 million people vaccinated will die as a result of life-threatening complications from the vaccine.

Flu shots and tamiflu since the flu was the closest disease to Covid that we had some vaccines/treatments for?

Plenty of current vaccines are effective against past and future variants of current and future viruses.

But if we can't scare the public into thinking this new "scare" is "new" then we can't scare them into taking an already proven medication that has been renamed and made to be more expensive.

Joe Rogan proved you wrong and the disinformation attack that followed didn't make a difference for those of us who think for ourselves.

Wake me when the platypus pox arises.

Can't wait for a vaccine that's 99.78% effective then 78% then 50% then it doesn't prevent you from getting sick but you have less symptoms then yeah it actually totally fades away 7 days after getting it but you have a increased chance of heart issues. You're welcome.
