Whatever they were intending to do is conjecture. The vast majority was intending to do nothing more than register their disgust over the irregularities in how the vote counting was conducted which is why they were mostly peaceful (using the actual sense of mostly peaceful) and went home afterwards.

I do think that Mike Pence got it right to give up the ghost after the courts refused to hear their cases. That was the point to toss in the towel and President Trump went to far in asking him to not certify the results. But to call it a conspiracy is a stretch. 

This whole thread is built on lies.

We've got armed gunmen and protestors outside SCOTUS justice homes this week... silence.... rioters buring down historical buildings in the capitol district the sumer before.... memory holed... a protest from a year and a half ago that got out of hand... that's what we're worried about.
