My comment is about Clownzo. Biden's existence is irrelevant.

OK thanks, I sorta knew that they wanted to blame Trump, but my question remains.  Is there any actual action Congress can take?  Or are they trying to convince some other authorities to do something?

Their intent is to somehow declare Trump unfit for office so he can't run again. How they do that I don't know but that's the endgame.

My guess is that this is an exercise in informing members of the general public that mostly ignore politics of what really happened in order to mitigate the political backlash of indicting some of these bastards. I'm not overly hopeful this will actually happen, given the tendencies we see in D.C. The Dems aren't exactly known for executing this sort of thing effectively, after all.

By "mitigating the political backlash," you mean "ginning up support" from members of the general public that mostly ignore politics, right?

And I'm still lost on who is doing the indicting?  Would it be impartial centrist Merrick Garland?

I don't think "ginning up support" is really correct. If you watch the hearings and follow the news, most of this isn't new. They need to make it as hard as possible for the GOP to credibly cry "witch hunt". I think there are a number of Congresspeople that will be indicted as well if it actually gets to that point.

I would assume it would be AG Garland, as they would be prosecuting federal crimes.

That would essentially be doing Republicans a favor, as they aren't able to blow him off without pissing off their base. They'll do it by showing strong evidence and testimony under oath that Trmp committed treason. I have little doubt they have the goods. But the Dems are so fukking spineless and the Reps so fukking demented that I have doubts anyone will actually face a criminal trial.

Nancy Pelosi's handpicked lickspittles and the people sponging up Biden's* drool in the White House both have zero authority to declare jack squat about who Republicans choose to nominate, let alone who the country wants to vote for.

I meant I don't know what mechanism they will try to use. Impeach him a 3rd time?  :dunno:

Right. Which is why they are preemptively trying to disqualify him from holding office in the future.

Garland is a biatch, he wont even prosecute or speak up about people illegally protesting outside a SCOTUS house, even after an attempted murder

They used a bullsh*t tactic of digging up old laws designed to prevent high end Confederate officials and military commanders from running for office and tried to make it stick on Republican congressional candidates to get them declared unfit for office. To do so they have to use fake words and charges of an 'insurrection' to get there. Unreal the depths they'll sink to. Fortunately, that tactic failed with the Congressional races and it's almost got zero chance to get anywhere with President Trump.

If the Dems want the GOP to not nominate President Trump, they ought to either sit back and hope he gets kept off the ballot by Republican voters like Madison Cawthorn was. Those sh*tbags should have no influence in GOP primaries. If President Trump does win the nomination, they can put together their team so that one of their own beats him in 2024. If both those things fail, enjoy another four years, a$$holes.

That's the Democrat way. Can't win by the rules in place, change the rules. It's what they do.

And most who are dead. To be fair, it's not his fault. He was installed for this reason. He won't remember any of it in 6 months.

He is if you're stupid enough to blame him for gas prices, inflation, the war in Ukraine, monkey pox and whatever else you can ignorantly hoist upon him because you're a Clownzo lickspittle who denies simple concepts such as supply and demand and believes everything Newsmax tells you without any regard to simple facts and reality.

But that's what deluded sheeple like you do.

Federal? Not sure. There's little doubt he committed no end of local and state crimes prior to and during his presidency. We're talking about conspiracy to defraud the United States after he was routed in a free and fair election. Treason might be another way to put it.

Then why hasn't he been charged with, well, anything?

There's a long standing tradition in this country of not indicting a sitting President but he hasn't been POTUS for a while now. If they had the goods on him surely he would've been charged by now.

But we get a made for tv dramamentury. There's a reason for that.

Pffft. Those are attacks on everyday Americans.

We're talking about a "litterall attack on democracy itself."

Priorities.

Agreed!   I personally would rank them as follows:

1. 9/11

2. January 6th

3. Pearl Harbor

4. The Great Depression

5. Civil War

That's dumb ranking on multiple levels. You can't whitewash Jan. 6 just because it wasn't worse than other bad things, particularly when those bad things aren't current events. Keeps sucking that Carlson teet.

Do we need to whitewash Uvalde because it wasn't as bad as the Korean War? Please advise.

I didn’t whitewash, it’s clearly on the board.  Right there appropriately at 186th.

I know you like to laugh and joke about it, but take your toxic masculinity elsewhere. Many of us are still dealing with the after effects of that terrible day. I am grateful they shielded us from it.

Did you watch last night or were you watching FOX's diversion to keep you from seeing it? They intentionally had no commercials so that viewers would go to something else during commercial breaks. This is right-wing propaganda and sh!t journalism.

The riots in Washington DC in 2020 were worse. Leftists burned down a church and attacked secret service officers.
