I agree with that and I am the same way.  I don't really understand the whole hat thing though.  I get why you don't wear a hat but expecting others to abide by what you want seems a bit rude in my opinion.  You remind me of Elaine's dad on Seinfeld when he won't let Jerry wear his coat inside out because it's pink.

Good analogy. But you’ll have a good time at my table. Amd if you’re a young guy in college we’ll probably pick up the tab. That happens all the time. Such a doosh. Want to hear something else? You come to my table I stand up and shake your hand.

About the only time I wear a baseball hat is if I’m running errands early before showering or at a bar. But if I were at a Buffalo Wild Wings or some similar place and someone asked me to take my hat off, the answer would be “No.”
