Flyers' Ivan Provorov labeled 'homophobic' as he faces backlash for boycotting team's Pride festivities

But you said you're against special festivities for any groups, but now it's only you're against special festivities for people based on who they want to fock?

The NHL inclusion day wasn't celebrating people focking, it was celebrating all people, including LGBTQ.  Being LGBTQ is not just focking, it's who they are.   When someone asks you why you're a man, is the answer "I fock women"?

really was it celebrating extremist islam?  how about othrodox jews?  I would be against all those as well, so no its not about who they are focking, but this group is truly based on who they want to fock, not whether they are good people, whether they are successful, life saving doctors, armed services.  Its strictly based on their sexual orientation.  THAT DOES NOT MAKE A PERSON

I give zero flying focks what anyone's sexual orientation, religion or anything else, those choices are not something to be celebrated.  JUST FOCKING BE.  You aren't special

If I'm on the team for Top Gun night, and they are celebrating the first Top Gun movie, I'm sitting that one out.

Star Wars night? Fock yeah. I'm in.

The fact his t shirt is a top seller on Fanatics is hilarious.

typically in the past, we see an athlete take a view that liberals hate, their jersey sales spike, then they say something else to appease liberals and their jersey sales collapse.  might not happen this time since he is russian tho.  might get kicked out of the nhl.  also they might verify beliefs for all future foreign athletes.  but all of this should be great propaganda for russia.

Don’t see a problem with someone showing that they have thoughts about situations.

And I bet if a player declined to participate in Jewish festivities based on Israels treatment of Palestinians that would be fine. We all know this.

That's kinda short sighted for this situation. People can celebrate all they want on their own. Just don't have expectations of others wanting to join in and  all should be fine.

So Pride Night is only a problem if the jerseys have rainbows on them?

Pride night is stupid and they should not engage in that activity unless it's 4th of July, Thanksgiving or Christmas. A bunch of fans can go to a game wearing rainbow socks, I don't care, but putting someone who works at the venue, or anyone in general who is there, on the spot and in the public eye or in their employer's oversight is simply the wrong thing to do.

I bet they won't force the players to where stormtrooper outfits during warmups.

Course they would miss the net with every shot if they did and the goalie wouldn't get warmed up properly.

I cant see how any Flyers player would want to celebrate anything about Sindey Crosby.

I hope the Rangers trade for him. New Gay City won’t like it though.

You keep saying this but you do realize that no player was forced to do anything.  The Russian sat out, and that was fine.  You understand this right?

I'm attacking people like you who think it's great that you liberals take to twitter in hoards to denounce the guy for sitting out the celebration of two men humping each other.

If they admit to that, then it goes against their view of evil libs forcing their agenda down peoples throats.

I'm against celebrating dumb shlt at a public event that has nothing to do with the event itself. Call that a preference.

I would be against a Russian Orthodox church celebration as well.

You should be asking yourself this question as your are a member of the liberal collective that's been all up in arms about this guy in the first place.

I have to agree. It has nothing to do with anything, it's pandering.

They are part of your liberal collective. Put in a good word to your leader to maybe get them some lives outside of being whiny about others that don't share their collective focked up thoughts.
