I don’t care whether those who receive government money are liberal or conservative. I’m for helping them all. I just find it amusing that at least some of them are fat ass maga types.

But more of them are blue haired low t types

We don't need a divorce, we just need the loons of each party (like her) to STFO, not get elected into office, and stop making decisions for the country.

So when they do divide the country, which side gets the NFC, and which side gets the AFC?

Who would be electing her into office?

Completely agree with her. Libs suck and I don't want to meet them in the middle. Let's split and cut our ties, we would all be happier.

No, you guys would still cry about each other.

Illinois and Alaska would be isolated.

Illinois is solid red outside of Chicago.  I'd say the red states just cut ties and give Chicago it's independence.  But you damn sure would need to build a wall on that border.

That is every state.  People far and wide vote red.  But the city think tanks vote blue.   The rich dems virtue signal but would step over a homeless black man to get their frappuccino.   The poor dems have been brainwashed that dems are for them yet their lives get no better in these cities.  It is a nice little system the dems have set up in big cities to keep them elected.   Throw some change at them every once in a while to keep the poor ppl voting blue yet never improving their life.  Yell racism to keep them elected.   It has worked well thus far.

Chicago is neatly pinned in geographically though in ways other cities aren't.

As a general sentiment, I get it.  Coming from a congressperson I get it as a general sentiment.  Once it is coupled with a proposal by a congressperson, even if in jest or hyperbole with a suggestion of loss of voting rights, that hyperbole is more than hyperbole, it is out of bounds stuidity and furthering the growing great divide.  nothing productive can come of statements like this.  that said, the woman is an idiot and nothing that comes from her mouth is worthy of series consideration.  Just more crap for the dung heap which is the sum total of her.

In this day and age the stupid know neither that they are idiots nor do they suffer any shame.  Where they should shrink from the limelight they instead seek it believing that attention, even nearly universal negative attention somehow validates their worth and intelligence.  Its a quandry, how does one convinvce a fool they are a fool?

I get it....I really do..... if you are inclined to vote Democrat then you are voting for failed ideas that only harm, so the desire to not have these people come to a place where life is decent and vote in more failure is understandable....but denying them the chance to vote is a non starter.

This is unnecessary.

If these people are fleeing the Democrat-led hell holes then their migration is an implicit acknowledgment of the failed cult of liberalism, and one could surmise that if they are willing to run from it (not unlike all those people fleeing the socialist hell holes in south america) then they should not vote more failure into office....the people running have learned the lesson....

If your ideas are better you do not need to replicate the Democrat Party behaviors to silence and suppress....just let your ideas be the factor.

I do not know much about the states aside from places I would consider moving to myself. I defer to your wider view on this.

Certainly the migration stats seem to suggest something other than what you see.  Perhaps those people also do not have your expansive view and understanding of these localities.

Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush controlled this country from 1981 thru 1993 and during that time, I don't remember the Democratic demographics whine and complain and cry about opposing views being shoved down their throats.  I did not hear anyone from this group demand that the Country be divided into red and blue.  They were Americans and UNITED they stood.  This current group of Republicans are sore losers and don't want to live in the United States of America.

I think the first dumb assumption on her part  is that a person would be "fleeing" another area to go to the red area.   Nobody has a job transfer or have to move for the military or anything?

It's just a dumb idea that divides us more.    Does that mean all the cities start kicking MAGA folks or not letting them vote on things?   So dumb.

Your bolded is 100%.   IF they are fleeing, hopefully they learned something from what they saw and didn't like.   IF they weren't fleeing and just moving?  How do we even know.

Long story short, MTG is a dumb-ass, but I am sure this will get clicks and shares and rile up the base a little.

It seems clear, to me, that the locations from where people are leaving are feeling the pain.....hence the recent moves to try and extort more money from the departed by introducing the idea of taxing people after they flee......

Instead of making people want to leave even more, how about simply making your location more attractive.....:dunno:  JMHO

I would love to know the reasons for the moving.   There is good and bad to all areas, but for me I would hate living in a bigger city.   I know several people who were in the city because of work, but either because of change of job OR their job allowing them to be remote or WFH, they moved away - often to a more red area.

I am just saying I can see reasons like this being behind some of these migration numbers just as much as I can see them "fleeing" because of things like we see happening in California.

But, as I have said many times before around here and seem to be a bit in the minority with this thinking - I don't think people are "responsible" for the outcomes of politicians to the extent that I see floated around.   Unless I talk to them and know specifically why they voted the way they did, I think it's silly to punish people for how they voted - e.g. MTG not wanting libs to be able to vote.

I cannot discount what you write here, but I would not that after Biden was elected no one fabricated anything to take him down.....and pushed a false pursuit for years.....so, if there is a scale of sore losers....I think the Democrats might hold the crown....

The list is irrelevant....what we have in this instance is a built-in refutation of the bullsh!t statistical matriculations.  The people are leaving, they are going to more conservative areas....and no amount of statistical gymnastics can pretend its not true.

I don't have to refute it.....the people leaving have already done so....and the governments have confirmed it.....so have fun with that.

Are you not following the Republican house that is opening investigations on everyone that's ever associated with Biden? They'll subpoena his dog walker if it means a shout-out from Tucker.

You seem like a decent, level-headed dude. How do you buy into this narrative of red always good, blue always bad?

As someone that "fleed" NJ and MD for NC, I think it's fair to say people are often "fleeing" the Northeast for the south.  But I think it's usually moreso because of things like cost of living and weather and not politics.  On that note, are there really many people fleeing California, at least compared to the ones fleeing TO California?

But yes, it's a common argument/discussion about people that moved from the northeast trying to make NC like the place they came from, which I'd agree seems contradictory since people often (not always) move because they don't necessarily like where they're coming from.

I am and I am delighted, as you should be.  The pursuit to be a check on power, as was done with Trump (albeit on false premises) is just fine by me.  These people hold alot of power, and manage to become multi millionaires on a government salary....holding them accountable should make us all very happy.

Now the DOJ and the media protected Biden from the information on the laptop for enough time, now we can finally get some accountability moving toward Biden....and the laptop was not paid for by a Republican candidate, it was not fabricated and then promoted under false pretenses....like the Russian collusion hoax, no this is legit and once people knew the Republicans would investigate they admitted as much.

If even a fraction of the content on the laptop is true, our President is bought and sold.....

We have to stop pretending these people are heroic, or even "good" people...they are not....

Are you trying to say that people are relocating based on political affiliations? Cuz that's absurd. The reason people move are myriad, and only hardcore partisans would ever do it for primarily political reasons.
