North Dakota governor and Republican presidential candidate Doug Burgum suffered a high-grade tear of his Achilles tendon while playing a game of pick-up basketball with his staff Tuesday, requiring him to be on crutches, according to a source familiar with the situation.

Burgum, 67, will attend the candidates’ walk-through of the debate event site Wednesday afternoon and then decide whether he’s physically able to participate in the debate itself, the source said.

Hell, come to think about it maybe put these debate guys/gals in swimsuits & parade across the stage to start out.

What I wrote wasn’t made up. It was based on polling. I haven’t checked polling for Democrats recently but I would expect it would be: 

1. Dealing with climate change. 
2. Protecting abortion rights. 
3. More gun control. 
 

The Republican priorities interest me though in that there is no mention of economic issues.

These videos are smart on Gabbard's part. She's setting the perception and narrative that she's young and capable. Willing to work hard and not make excuses. Also, as some "eye candy", that will appeal to both some male voters and female voters. The modern American political structure up top is now a gerontocracy. That troubles lots of Americans. So these kind of short releases provides an instant counter narrative to that. It's good politics. It's good media optics. 

Trump has not picked a VPOTUS candidate yet. So Gabbard, while a long shot, is technically in the running. He needs a minority woman with established name recognition. If it's not Nikki Haley, then Gabbard is on the short list. Other than that, she's a candidate for a GOP cabinet position. She's good looking, can handle the media, has a military service record, is young and energetic and can offer a kind of rational approach that is sorely lacking in Trump, Biden, Newsom and Harris. 

Gabbard operates as proof of life that something is very wrong with the DNC and DCCC. She is literally a textbook perfect candidate. And they turfed her because they couldn't control her and many of her viewpoints were too progressive in nature. Team Blue would have won POTUS 2020 and 2024 easily with Gabbard. Look how thin their "bench" is right now. If Biden gets pushed aside, their next best hope is... Gavin Newsom. That's just pathetic.
