I have no problem with this whatsoever. I don’t believe that transgender women should be allowed to compete in girls’ sports due to possible physical advantages. But that doesn’t apply here. So I’m good with this.

Your misinterpretation. Women, or anyone, pursuing goals is admirable. While I find these sorts of contests ridiculous and reductive (even if the scenery is enjoyable) and would never encourage my own daughter to participate in such a thing, it's a free country. If others want to compete, I have no issue with it. I think that ultimately it is damaging toward women, but we willingly do lots of damaging things to a wide array of people daily. C'est la vie.
