Blacks Fleeing The Democratic Party

Recommended Posts

Good point. They should be voting for the party that won’t be up in their business as much, screwing everything up.

Well that’s not why I’ve ever voted for anyone. I vote for a person who shares my values and goals for this nation and depending on the role, the world.

Back to the point, I’ve said it here a million times, Republicans rarely condemn racism and sometimes even promotes it. Until they can a handle on that or decides it truly wants to be inclusive of blacks, we’ll never vote Republican en masse.

It might be true that just because you disagree with an idea, or a person.....that does not make them racist......maybe....just maybe....

Shame.  I like Rob Smith. Probably democrat plants sent there to make MAGA look bad, like on Jan 6 and Charlottesville.  Leftist playbook.

You mean values like preventing black people from being born?  Black women have 4 times the abortion per capita than white women.  How does that align with values and goals?

No, not at all and that has been my biggest area of growth. I can thank this forum for helping me understand that people have opinions on how the government spends its money. Just because some would rather give billions to defense/military/corporations/tax breaks for the rich vs education/healthcare/the poor/saving the environment doesn’t make the person good or bad or racist vs not racist.

Heck, when Trump was in office, it seemed like we all made more money and everyone was employed and even got higher bonuses. I see the benefit of a strong military where before I was unrealistic about striving for peace with our enemies. I’ve learned how giving and giving money isn’t always an incentive and can be crippling. We can look at all the thieving that occurred during Covid when the government was giving away loans.

Being conservative doesn’t mean you’re racist.

I’d rather black women have children when they’re ready and able. Preventing unwanted babies through contraception should be the focus of reducing abortions among blank women, not eliminating abortions altogether.

Every Republican condemns racism. Just cause they don’t spend every second of every day talking about race like the democrats do doesn’t mean they support it

if you think personal responsibility is important there are only two parties that align with that value.  If you believe that family values are important there are only two parties that believe that.  However if you feel like you need to play the victim card about everything well then the democrats are all about getting your vote and doing nothing to help.

You should at least learn something about libertarianism

I have asked you this a half dozen times and you have never responded. Why do you continue to vote against school choice?

I had to Google this.

Quote

A Black and gay Republican influencer shared a video showing what he described as "White Supremacists" shouting slurs at him.

Rob Smith, an Army veteran, shared the video on X, formerly Twitter, on Monday.

"Last night in Phoenix, I was confronted and surrounded by some White Supremacists that don't like gays or blacks in the Republican Party," Smith wrote in the post.

"They shouted 'n*****' and 'f*****' at me to make their point. However, I served in Iraq. I never back down. Ever."

Some in the video appear to be chanting "gay sex" after Smith says "Look at that, I've got some fans." Then, others can be heard shouting the homophobic slur at him before switching to "America First," but no racial slurs were heard in the clip Smith shared. The video can be seen here.

The incident occurred at an event hosted by Republicans for National Renewal, a pro-Trump conservative advocacy group, CNN reported.

"The individuals involved were members of the public without any association with us and we were actively involved in defusing the situation and ensuring attendee safety," the group said in a statement. "These sorts of actions are not welcome at our events and the individuals involved will be excluded from future events."

Newsweek has contacted the group for further comment via social media.

Smith and other conservatives were in Phoenix for Turning Point USA's AmericaFest, a four-day event that ran through Tuesday.

Smith declined to comment when contacted by Newsweek.

"This did not occur at our event," a spokesperson for Turning Point USA told Newsweek. "Regardless, their behavior is disgusting and if it had happened here, these individuals would have been promptly removed."

The post has amassed more than 3 million views and prompted several conservatives to send messages of support to Smith.

"Rob, I'm so sorry you had to go through this," conservative activist Scott Presler wrote.

"This is completely unacceptable & doesn't represent the America First vision. The best thing we can do is lead by example. Let's keep registering voters, recruiting volunteers, & prepare for victory in 2024."

Christina Pushaw, the rapid response director on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' presidential campaign, wrote: "This is embarrassing behavior. All I can say is their gutter trash talk gets rewarded online, and some of them are delusional enough to think they can act the same in real life."

J.R. Majewski, a Republican congressional candidate, wrote: "I was there... when I heard the commotion, I stood up for Rob and made sure he got out of there safely. This is the unfortunate reality of a fractured party without leadership."

Others had little sympathy for Smith.

"A gay black man walks into a White Supremacist Convention & is SHOCKED to see White Supremacists," actor Tom Arnold wrote. "I hope your grift is worth it buddy."

Another wrote that Smith "joined the face-eating leopard party and is shocked the leopards are eating his face."

Smith, the author of Always a Soldier: Service, Sacrifice, and Coming Out as America's Favorite Black, Gay Republican, previously told Newsweek that declaring that he is a conservative was harder for him than coming out as gay.

"Honestly, coming out as conservative has been more of an earth-shattering, life-altering move for me, personally, than coming out as gay was," Smith said in 2018.

"I came out [as gay] to my family and friends but coming out as conservative has been a very public thing...For me, this process has been more difficult to navigate than the process of coming out as gay."

tl;dr -- a couple of yokels yelled slurs, everyone directly involved with the event apologized and said that was not consistent with their message of inclusion.

What would you like them to do differently in this situation?

Oh, and I like the Leftists treating him like crap, there is your party of inclusion.  I can see why he says coming out as conservative was harder than coming out as gay.  Hint:  it isn't because conservatives are mean and vindictive.

I’ve seen Democrats ask why working and lower class whites would vote for a billionaire fraudster who lives in a country club but I totally get it. These people in flyover country get absolutely nothing from Wall Street or Washington regardless of who is in office. But one party (Dems) portray them as a bunch of toothless redneck yokels. Why wouldn’t they vote for Reps?

I imagine many blacks feel the exact same way but in reverse.

COME AGAIN SQUIDWARD. I WIN!!!

YOUR LEADER IS A RACIST PIG.

Joe Biden once called state-mandated school integration “the most racist concept you can come up with,” and Barack Obama “the first sort of mainstream African American who is articulate and bright and clean.” He was a staunch opponent of “forced busing” in the 1970s, and leading crusader for mass incarceration throughout the ‘80s and ‘90s. Uncle Joe has described African-American felons as “predators” too sociopathic to rehabilitate — and white supremacist senators as his friends.

Black folks don't buy that, which is why Biden got 90% of the black vote in 2020 and will do about the same in 2024.

Pct of black votes for democrats last three elections : 97, 93, 90.   This is why the democrats need to bring in illegals. They have to replace the voters they are losing. And suppress wages on behalf of the corporations and oligarchs that own them.

Yeah, they are losing black voters so fast, they just can't keep up with it.

She’s seems to tell the complete truth without embellishment.  She lost me with “Dylan Roof got Burger King”, though.  Maybe if you dig deep enough into her tweets, you can find some “hands up, don’t shoot” references from Ferguson.

Do you buy that Biden is a racist pig?

Do you think we make this stuff up, his own quotes?

No and no. Many of the quotes are decades old, or taken out of context, or are misleading.

Black folks don't care. I haven't heard anyone black saying "I'm not voting for Biden because he is a racist, instead I'll vote for the non-racist Trump, or Haley" (or whoever).

Aren't you the same guy that excoriates Trump for things he's said an done in the past?

Your hypocrisy knows no bounds.  SOP for the modern day liberal.

Per Brookings, only 12% of Black men voted for Trump in 2020.

Biden received 92% of the total Black vote. Indistinguishable from Hillary Clinton's 91% in 2016.
