Some official “civil war” sounds ludicrous.  Thats not what’s going to happen.  What we as a nation are trending towards is more and more “vigilante justice”.  Defund the police, mass illegal immigration, soft on crime will result in more and more brazen criminals, more protests by humans blocking roads and pushing boundaries. 

 Eventually something will happen and there will be mass protests like we saw a couple summers ago but it will not be in downtown Seattle, it will spill into a less liberal cities Suburbs.  That’s when things will really pop off.  Normal Dads protecting their business, property and family.  

It will be isolated events, not some huge civil war though.

To win a civil war type battle you have to hold ground and occupy what isn't yours.  It's not as simple as using state lines.  I'm sure the folks in Austin wouldn't want to be on the "red team" and the the folks outside of Chicago in Illinois wouldn't want to be on the "blue team".  If you want to know how easy it is to hold land where you aren't wanted and the populace is armed, check out how Afghanistan went.  Not that it would ever happen, but the only way to split would be some sort of settlement.  A true civil war given the modern state of firearms and the numbers readily available in the population would be endless slaughter.

Well, the folks in Austin would be immediately surrounded by hostile enemies and summarily eliminated. At which point Texas would declare Independence and be one of richest countries in the world.
