Sliced Tomatoes on Pizza

Just, Why? 🍅🍕

Best pizza I ever had was a "'55 Bacon Cheeseburger" pizza from  place called Mission Pizza in Fremont, CA.

Ground beef, bacon and onion. They cooked the pie then added fresh pickles and tomato slices after pulling it out of the oven.

Big nope for me. I'm fine with chopped tomatoes, but sliced is annoying.

It's fine on a Margherita pizza with basil and fresh mozzarella.  Don't think I've ever seen it on any other pizzas.

Lame---I wouldn't want that on a pizza.

I would not order them, but if they are on a pizza offered to me I am fine with them if i like the other toppings.  Tomato and artichoke, no, tomato and pepperoni, onion, mushroom and green peppers, yes.

So you feel uncut pen1ses are more of a dessert type of item?

No, but I just think it belongs on a bun.

Yes please. Sliced, chopped, diced, sun dried, it’s all good.

Another weird take. Take 2 aspirin and get some rest. Pizza has got you upset.

At mellow mushroom they put fresh slices of tomato on their white pizza. It makes the pizza taste more healthy and fresh.

What's worse than the fresh tomatoes, as far as texture is concerned, is the fresh onions. I always tell them to leave the onions off. Those hard/stringy fresh vegetables ruins the pizza biting experience, imo.

Sliced tomatoes get watery when they cook, get more hot than other toppings, and generally make pizza harder to eat.
