2.  Yes, it notes that no states were under or over counted in 2010 but it does say that 22 states were over or under counted in 2000 to suggest these numbers aren’t necessarily unusual. It’s also basically just an estimate of an estimate, so is subject to its own margin of error.

In 2009 abortion wasn’t a “wedge issue”; it was a constitutional right. It wasn’t codified because Democrats didn’t believe back then that Roe would be overturned. They didn’t think that Republicans, knowing how most of the nation felt, knowing that overturning Roe might destroy the GOP for decades, would ever be STUPID enough to give in to the extremists on the right who wanted the Supreme Court stacked with extremist ideologues so that they could rid of it. They were wrong. Republicans were stupid enough to do this, and now they will pay the price. Not just tonight but in many more elections to come.
