JK Rowling created a fictional world in her head consisting of magic, mythical creatures, and a potion that allows you to change identities.

But, in spite of her vast imagination, she can’t possibly muster the capacity to accept that maybe, just maybe, gender is a spectrum.

What a sad, weird obsession she has with the trans community. Like why? Just leave them alone.

I see anti-trans Twitter found this post.

My point is that JK Rowling has such a wide imagination but an incredibly closed mind. To invalidate gender science and an entire community with absolute certainty based on fear-mongering tropes is bigoted.

Frankly that Harry Potter crap was garbage literature, imo. But I don’t like fantasy so maybe that’s it.

Anyway, she’s the new Ayne Rand. Hooray for her

Good for her.  We need to get these individuals help with their mental illness.

Are you saying that mythical creatures and the world she created in her work is actually reality?

It appears she is very good at discerning fantasy from REAL life.

Roald Dahl, of Willie Wonka fame, was a bigot as well. So was HP Lovecraft, Ezra Pound, TS Eliot, the list goes on. Sometimes the folks with the best imaginations are pretty awful people.

It is amusing that about 20 years ago all of the religious conservatives hated Rowling- her work was regarded as “devil worship.” Now that she has turned out to be a bigot they suddenly are celebrating her.

Everyone is a bigot to Tim until they drug up and molest a 13 year old girl.  Then he defends that person.  Kind of sick IMO.

Funny how in one thread, you're chastising someone for telling others how they feel.  Yet, here you are doing the same thing.  How do you know that people who regarded her work as devil worship, are now "celebrating her"... and not simply just agreeing with her on this point?

This is an interesting way you attack women. When did you first starting hating women? Did it start with your mother? Did she not love you enough?

Umm no. The first Harry Potter book was published in 1997. The religious controversy began around 1999 and reached its height, among evangelicals, around 2004- exactly 20 years ago:

So you got this wrong. But I know it wasn’t deliberate on your part. Shall I call you a liar?

Genders not a spectrum. No matter how much you left cultists wanna say it is. Hundreds of thousands of years and only just recently did the left decide to pander to these ppl. No one cares if you’re trans or gay or bi or whatever you wanna call yourself. But saying a man is really a woman is just asinine. Put lipstick on a pig doesn’t change it to a woman. It’s still a pig

This is nonsense. Being branded a bigot is the lefts only real tool. She stands up for the rights of real women and the left calls her names. She is not anti-trans. She is pro woman. Not men who feel like women. It is a mental illness to think gender is a spectrum.

Well, tim, Squiz and the like are anti-REAL women with their views.  You can't support trans and ACTUAL women at the same time.

I guess they just prefer trannies.  :dunno:

Because they CHOOSE to see them that way instead of pro woman like they are actually.  Men are not women. Women are not men. You can not change your gender. If you claim this you are mentally ill or brainwashed by people who are mentally ill.

Tim, didn’t you proclaim that biological men with pen!ses shouldn’t be allowed in women’s spaces? And I know you’re against men in women’s sports.  Aren’t you creeped out by trans people?  What exactly about trans ideology do you actually support?  If you’re calling Rowling anti-trans, you may want to check the mirror homie.

I believe that transsexuals should be granted full recognition by society as the sex they have chosen with only a few slight exceptions, the ones you listed, I regard my personal reaction to them as a negative flaw on my part, not something I’m proud of, and I would like to see a society that is far more loving and accepting than I have been. And I strongly reject the inference that there is something mentally wrong with these people as ignorant of scientific consensus and frankly bigoted.

Does this sound like JK Rowling’s position to you?

It is great to have beliefs. I believe they are mentally ill and you are an enabler to their illness.

Tim, you can’t gloss over your desire to keep people with pen!ses out of women’s spaces as a “slight exception”. It’s literally a cornerstone of their affirmation.   I’m guessing that Rowling doesn’t use pronouns, and you do.  Except for that, you’re probably on par with her anti-trans stances. I really think this trans topic has “liberal” Tim at odds with “common sense” Tim.

Tim, she made this tweet just today.  Is this far off from your thoughts?  Do you know what she’s referring to when speaking of girls and women’s rights being dismantled?

https://x.com/jk_rowling/status/1791500385405878667?s=46&t=DFWeVowvyy-F23jlecK3zw

EDIT:  for some reason it won’t link properly. Here’s text of her tweet so y’all don’t have to click:

I've never met anyone who doesn't think trans people deserve the same rights and protections as everyone else. Militant trans activism doesn't want trans people to have the same rights, though. It wants women's and girls' rights and protections dismantled for the benefit of men.
