If we take guns away from law abiding citizens, the criminals will eventually run out of guns. It only makes sense. Common sense.

Agree, We need to disarm Johnny in rural North Dakota, he's a threat to society.

Jamal and Tyrone in Chicago, not so much.

IF you mean the 1920's, you are correct.

No. I guess I think gloating over mass gun violence is a little ghoulish. But that’s the GC for you.

I think not addressing the problem and acting like it's not happening is ghoulish.

You're too worried about the wrong people.

There were probably only 25 or 6 to 4 such Chicago posts.

As I was reading through this thread I was trying to think of a way to use this song title.  You beat me to it.

You're the inspiration

I've been doing this to @MDCfor 3 responses, he hasn't gotten it yet.  Maybe he is too young to know classic Chicago songs?

Just another Saturday in the Park

Does anybody really care? (OK, that's a lyric from Does Anybody Know What Time It Is?, but if fit perfectly)

25 or 6 to 4.

I'm running out of songs to keep this up with.  Oh well, It's Hard to Say I'm Sorry.

To be fair, listening to Chicago during the Peter Cetera syrupy love ballad era is enough to make anyone feel like shooting someone.

Amen.  I can't think of another band that went from so great to so shmaltzy.  Probably because of the death of Terry Kath, who was an incredibly powerful singer and guitar player.  Totally overshadows Cetera here, although Cetera is still in his rocking bassist days.  Hard to believe this is the same band:

Good one, although Starship was even worse.  At least they changed their name!

A lot of bands went to shiot coming out of the 70s into the 80s.  Styx Mr. Roboto was my single most disappointing music release in the history of evah.

This seems like a good sperm-off thread.

Fleetwood Mac fits here although not sure how "schmaltzy" they became. They did change direction in a big way.

You can go your own way.

As for violence in Chicago, we tend to Look Away.

Maybe those partaking should change their ways.  That would eliminate any gloating. But blame someone else, that liberalism for you.

Other than locking up criminals for life, how do you suggest addressing the problem?

Maybe normal adults don’t gloat about violent crime and people dying?

You can only mention crime when it’s going down, not while it’s happening. That would be gloating. What a jackass.

Fake cop pretends to care about urban crime solely to gloat. About what I’d expect from a man who wishes rape on kids and talks about little boys watching porn.

Creep.
