Inflation is going to be a tough one for Kamala.  She can't very well go to the usual playbook and promise people free money and then claim she's fighting inflation, but she can beat on tariffs.

What she should do is lie and say she will do three things: (because people love things in threes)

1. My administration will review all trade deals and we will work with our trade partners to have fair and equitable agreements that will help lower prices for all Americans.
   1. then you have some staffer go pull a clause or two from various trade deals that you can say you want to update
2. Second, instead of straining our relationships with allies through tariffs that will raise the cost of common goods that every American needs, we will work to ensure our supply chains run smoothly by investing in American ports and transportation because when we can't get the critical goods that American households want because Donald Trump allowed our infrastructure to crumble, that raises costs for everyone!
3. Third, my administration will empower the federal reserve to make the decisions necessary to ease rising costs unlike Donald Trump who will pressure the fed into doing what's best for wall street instead of main street!

They will delay as long as possible, the Democrats know she's a vapid idiot who can't be allowed to answer unscripted questions. 

There will be a fairy tale rebranding at the convention claiming she's a moderate. The truth is, she doesn't have a political leaning, she does what she's told. They'll try to ride the convention wave all the way to election day hopefully, in their case, never really exposing her for the blithering idiot that everybody who's paid even the slightest bit of attention already knows.
