Class action lawsuit against Amazon Prime. Who is with me?

Recommended Posts

I/We pay $139 a year for Prime, or more if you pay monthly.

How do they get off on forcing commercials (ads) on us during NFL games?

The only way to watch the game is on Prime. They have no excuses or reasons to show us commercials.

I also pay the extra 2.99 a month.

Add the ad-free experience to your membership

For an additional $2.99 a month, Prime members can upgrade to an ad-free option. If you don't mind the additional fee, this is the easiest way to get rid of ads. We suggest signing up only through verified Amazon Prime Video apps and sites, though, to avoid getting scammed.May 23, 2024

If you're watching a live football game, what would they do during the breaks?  I guess just put an Amazon logo up?

Do you know why they have breaks?  (other than half time) TO SHOW COMMERCIALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No commercials? NO BREAKS! They have already made their money from me. NO ADS/COMMERCIALS!

Oh, gotcha.  Just go straight from 1 quarter to the next.  Makes sense.  I like the idea and endorse you for president.

I use to use bible pages to roll doobies when I was out of rolling papers. Very  Smothe. The book of Genisus was the best.

Peacock does the same thing, so you should include them and probably Youtube into your lawsuits.  Let us know how it goes.

You could always start an abortion clinic and use the commercial breaks to murder some babies.  When Prime Video gives you lemons, you got to make some dead fetuses.

Gotta give these entertainment companies credit. It may have taken them 20+ years, but they finally figured out a way to kill the DVR and get their ad revenue back.

I only listen to the Saints games on AM radio anymore. Gave up on my season tickets after thirty years and have never looked back. Fawk Goodell and the turd he has created.

You can get an antenna and not pay as well. Paying for cable is paying for convenience.

How many commercials do hbo/skinamax have? you pay for those channels directly.

Vote with your pocketbook. Drop Amazon prime. If there's ever a Thursday night game you feel you absolutely need to see, I'm sure there's other ways to view it.

I will say, I did participate in a class action against a major pharmaceutical company after I had a pulmonary embolism in 2011.

I got way more than $5.23. Allowed us to move and buy a new house.

However, I almost died. And other people in the class action actually did die and had family suing on their behalf.

So, if you're willing to put your life on the line for Amazon Prime, go for it.

Nobody is forcing anything on you, it is your choice to watch and these are the conditions. If you wait an hour after kickoff to start watching, you can scroll through the commercials and watch commercial free.

What laws do you think Amazon is breaking?

Some Prime Video customers are understandably confused at why they are still seeing ads in the Prime Video app even though they signed up for the extra $2.99 per month ad-free plan. That’s because content from Freevee, Prime Video Channels, and live sporting events, which can all be viewed from within the Prime Video app, all contain ads that are not removed when subscribing to the $2.99 per month plan. While these are all video streams that are accessed through Prime Video in some way, they are considered separate from the free content included with a Prime subscription and, therefore, continue to show ads.

I guess you don’t understand what you paid for. you should learn how to read before you sign a contract.
