EternalShinyAndChrome 4,103 Posted November 13, 2024 Still no @OldMaid sightings? Wow. This election must have left her devastated. There's a good lesson to learn here, folks: don't let your hubris override your common sense. OldMaid flew too close to the sun, confident it wouldn't burn her, only to perish in the blazing solar heat of Trump.

Maybe in another 4 years it might be a different story in the overall anger towards him but I think he is best served as a cabinet member somewhere and not the top of the ticket. I'd still say an early clubhouse leader should be Josh Shapiro. He is charismatic and he pisses off democrats and Republicans. He drew heat for his support of Israel, and his support of school choice. He helped write bills in support of divesting money from terrorist hiding countries. He was extremely popular in his role as governor even with a mostly Republicans state legislature. And in a poll it was found that he had broad support from all races, education levels, and 34% of Donald Trump supporters in the state.
nobody 2,672 Posted November 13, 2024 Problem with Newsome is that he's an absolute shìtbag as a person. He'll fool people for awhile, but under the scrutiny of a presidential race, he'll be too unlikable.

But he will fall back hard towards the middle if he had to campaign for it. Id assume everyone would be smart enough to understand that would not be close to where he actually sits on issues. Hes basically Trudeau South. Outside of the areas with massive amounts of drugs/crime/encampments, Cali has very pretty areas. Its a giant state with vast coastline. But a majority of people in the country look at Cali as a progressive cesspool. I dont think it would be smart on the Dems to ever run that guy. Even the normal libs look at that guy and say the way he runs Cali is goofy. They wouldnt show up. To use a word from Gutter, Cali has a pretty "toxic" stigma attached to it these days from the eastern half of the country. I think for a couple of elections the Dems HAVE to run a person that is closer to the middle. Definitely not go harder left.

Lol....school choice is a litmus test for being the Democratic candidate. Are you really that cluelessbon how powerful the teacher union is in the Dem party. It would be like a gun grabber getting the GOP nomination.

Yet Shaprio is heavily respected in PA because of how he cross the aisle to work with both sides. He is also heavily respected in the DNC. He supports school choice but also funded schools like crazy in his budgets. He walks the line between the two. Maybe do a little reading?

Oh I know RINOs/DINOs do well in PA. I also know RINOs are backstabbers who play both sides, but are really authoritarian at heart. When one side is trying to subvert the Constitution and create a centralized corrupt oligarchy in Washingtin DC you don't work with them. You expose them and clean their cancer out of government. The swamp has gotten way too powerful and is way too corrupt and is showing they can not be trusted with thst power. I have no tolerance for a dishonest, corrupt and abusive government. They are everything they falsely accuse Trump of. Politicians who play centerist especially RINOs are snakes. OldMaid 2,130 Posted November 15, 2024 Sorry to break it to you troglodytes, I’m still here and I’m not broken. I will admit that I spent the Wed after the election nursing a massive hangover. I had carpel tunnel surgery on my right wrist first thing Thursday morning. If anyone would like pictures I’m more than happy to oblige. I can only type one handed for now and the bandages only came off on Tuesday. Yes, I was massively wrong. I openly admit it. Send me the crow. Also, fock off, seriously! 3 1
