I voted straight party Republican

For the first time EVER. I am not a Republican. What I am is tired of the Democratic parry. Tired of Trans rights. Tired of being told I get special treatment for being a white male while I work my ass off. Tired of seeing the youth of this country be brainwashed. Tired of the media being blatantly liberal and democratic leaning. Tired of having to tell straight white male candidates no simply because the company wants to hit their DEI goal of LITERALLY ANYONE but them. 

I have been an independent all my life. I voted for Ross Perot, Ralph Nader and Gary Johnson. I even voted TWICE for Obama because the Republican candidates just did not do it for me. Since the time I last voted the Democratic party has made it clear to me they do not want me in their party. I am the devil. I am privileged because I have a low chance of being shot by the cops during a traffic stop. Because people who look like me enslaved blacks 200 years ago and now IIIIIII need to pay the price. The democrats are getting exactly what they deserve for letting a small fraction of their party drive them into a bloodbath. If they can get back to the center they will be able to recover. If not we may be a 1 party system for a long time going forward. 

The craziest thing about ALL of this is that the DNC created Trump. THEY did this. Donald Trump should never be a thing. He NEVER wanted to be president or thought he could be president. I am 100 percent convinced he wanted to add another title to his name. "Former presidential contender" something he could hang his hat on forever. Thennnnn the DNC in their INFINATE wisdom saw him as a weak opponent and instead of putting their weight behind the BEST candidate they pushed who THEY wanted in Clinton. Bernie would have SMOKED Trump. I have zero doubt. THIS time they tried to sneak one by the American people(which some people are likely to be prosecuted on this for conspiracy) and run a focking vegetable. Then they pivoted to an unlikeable DEI hire who was not smart enough to separate herself from biden and his policies. The Democrats deserve what they get. They brought it all on themselves through bad policies and just dumb move after dumb move.

This is how I describe it to people. At one time the republican party had a bunch of focking nutjobs hold the party hostage. They called themselves the tea party. It was focking insane and they were insane. The republicans had to burn them out of their party. But they did eventually. The Democrats had something similar happen to them. They had a bunch of hard left liberal wokes take over and instead of crushing the hard left like a bug they leaned INTO it. This is the backlash from that choice.

The media played into this defeat also. It was so clear they were NOT being independent. It was so blatantly obvious that they had a favorite by the way they talked about harris vs trump. It looked like interference to me. When some of the big news org owners pushed back on endorsing ANYONE the liberal staff through shitt fits. Instead of thinking THIS is where we can get back some of our credibility they cried like they were being forced to do something suppppeerrrr crazy. The media for the last 10 years or so in specific have turned into yellow journalists. The MSM has been a mouthpiece for the DNC. MSNBC, Yahoo, CNN, NPR, NBC in general. Tons of websites funded by the DNC that are straight up propaganda. Your average joe says they trust the media at about a 30 percent rate but that was before the curtain exposed the nonsense the MSM was feeding them the last election cycle. It is probably less now.

I posted this in another thread a few days ago, thought I'd repost here as it seems relevant:

Gen X pushed Trump over the top.  What's special about us?  We're the parents of most of the school-aged children.  

We don't want our young men being vilified for doing assertive masculine things, calling it "toxic masculinity."  Young men are lost in our society; much has been written about it.  (As a side note, this is why young men also voted for Trump.  Dood took a bullet in the ear and pumped his fist in defiance.  That's badass.  That's masculine.)

We don't want our teenage girls, confused by the flood of hormones and attention from the boys, to be told that maybe they are boys -- here, take some testosterone, which duh, makes you more assertive and confident.

We don't want our elementary school kids to have to declare their pronouns or gender preference.  We don't want them learning about gay sex acts or going to drag story hour.  If they tell a teacher that they think they are the other sex, we demand to know.

If you have kids, you understand this.

I seem to remember a time, back in the 60's, where voting booths actually had a lever to vote a straight party ticket.  One pull covered all of the races, if that was what one wished to do.  Now, with multiple parties voting straight party takes more time, I suppose, though the time spent on thought would be minimized, just look for the letter of your choice and check that box.

It's not worth the risk. I don't trust Republicans, but if they are anti trans care for kids and anti men in women's sports, they will be better than 100% of democrat candidates that support those issues.
