This is one of the few shows I actually watch. I think it is very underrated.

Oh wow, I totally missed that the third season came out. And if Becki Newton showed her bewbs, my rating would be way higher than 10/10.

Yep, good show. Nice to see a new season. I used to read all of the Connelly books while on short flights. The Bosch series is great, for an easy read.

Saw the movie.  Is the series similar?

Basically, lawyer gets case that is more than it seems.  If you read the book, I think this actor makes a better Haller than MM did---but that might just be more time for character development.

Never saw the movie, but the TV series is very well written and a good watch...  His books on Mickey Haller are a nice read as well...  I tried the Bosch books, but just couldn't get into them...  Maybe I will try to read them again at a later date...

I think Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch books are better than the Mickey Haller series (which is a Bosch spin off). The Bosch series are more Police Procedure type novels, while the Haller's would probably fall under the Legal Thriller category.

Connelly has been phasing out the Bosch character, first having him retire and then called back to work as a volunteer with the "Cold Case" unit. The most recent Bosch books has him paired with LAPD Detective Renee Ballard solving cold cases for the most part, while dealing with a cancer diagnosis and treatment.

We really enjoyed the first season, and I don't think we even knew there was a second let alone a third.  I'll mention it to the wife and we'll put it on the list.  I think we are caught up in the other series we are watching together (Dune Prophecy, The Rings of Power, and House of the Dragon), so maybe we'll start it soon.

Yes. I enjoyed the first and second seasons. I watched the 3rd season but it was not nearly as good compared to the first two.

I enjoy John Grisham books, so it doesn’t surprise me that I like the Haller books more than the Bosch ones…

There were more serious ones, like A Time to Kill, but The Rainmaker was my favorite Grisham by a mile.  There were parts of that book, finding the bugs in the office and using them against the defense, that literally had me laughing out loud, near tears to be honest.

I just checked out his Wiki and realized I haven't read any of his books in years, any recommendations since say 2000?

I like this one too, 3rd season wasn’t quite as good, but still a decent watch. Hopeful about season 4…

I guess the entire show but specifically the 3rd season reminds me of when I used to watch Burn Notice.  Lincoln Lawyer is much better and Manuel is a much better actor than whoever played Michael on Burn Notice... but the Cisco character and the dynamic with Mickey seems to become more and more similar to Bruce Campbell's character and relationship on Burn Notice.

I watch it, but I don't understand why he had to be the Lincoln Lawyer.  Yes I know that he drives a Lincoln and he did a lot of work out his car, but in the show he had an office and took a couple of calls from his car like that everyone does.  Seems the could've just called it The Lawyer and nothing really changes.

I'm to going to create a show about this guy who's good at engineering that is supposed to solve crimes and he gets out of all these jams by improvising gadgets out of stuff he just finds lying around.  Oh and you I'll have him drive an Elantra and every episode I'll have him driving somewhere in his Elantra.

I'll call the show The Elantra Engineer.

Thought of another show.  A scientist gets hit with gamma radiation and then afterwards when he gets mad he turns into a giant green rage monster accept even though his normal self struggles with the destruction he causes as the monster, in the end his scientific brain as his normal human self coupled with his virtually indestructible monster self becomes a force for good.  Oh and I'll have him drive a mitsubishi.  The show will be called the Mitsubishi Monster.

Thought of another show.  There's this unassuming high school chemistry teacher that finds out he's got terminal cancer, but he wants to make sure he leaves something  behind for his family, so he partners up with one of his ne'er-do-well former chemistry student and together they start fumbling their way through making drugs.  He's an excellent chemist, so his drugs are excellent, but he isn't good at dealing, so his ne'er-do-well partner has to handle that, but our science teacher gets pulled further and further into the drug world.  Eventually he embraces it after he realizes it fulfills his ego being a genius chemist but never really getting the recognition he thinks he deserves for that while his former colleagues all enjoy massive success.  Oh and he drives a Dodge.

The show is called The Dodge Drug Dealer.

It was based on the first book by Michael Connelly called "The Lincoln Lawyer" that came out in 2005...  Since then he has written six other books about Mickey Haller,  but since the series was popular, the name will stay as "The Lincoln Lawyer"...  Kind of like "Game of Thrones" and how it took off after the fist season (and book), but they kept the name...
