The Kona is actually the best vehicle in the subcompact SUV class.  It has more power than all the others as well as loaded with high tech, excellent fuel efficiency, great warranty and affordable.  The latest styling sucks, but the older models looked good.   Will not be as reliable Hondas or a Toy Yoda.  The Korean car companies have become very competitive.

The interiors of Hyundai's are weird to me.  It's like being in an Asian person's house.  you clearly know where you are.

I will say the Kia K5, 2024 model, is a slick looking car. They messed it up though. The new brake lights are an eyesore.

Most cars these days last, especially if maintenance is kept up and they aren't driven recklessly. I just can't get down with a Hyundai. None of the models look attractive.

If I were buying a smaller SUV right now I would go with a blazer.

They make the Ioniq, right?  That's like top of the line for EVs price/performance and value from what I've heard.  I wouldn't buy an EV yet, but if I did, I'd strongly consider it.

Similarly, the small truck (Santa Cruz) seems to have a lot of benefits over the Ford Maverick, at least when I looked a while back.  And I married into a Ford family (FIL worked there his entire career).

I haven't test driven these, but my perception is that they provide good bang for the buck, so I'll do so next time I'm in the market.

I had a Santa Fe most of the years my kids were growing up, it was perfect size. Then some lady hit me and I got a Kia Sorrento. Same thing basically. 

Now I have a lifted Jeep Wrangler. Fock the kids.

Never will buy a Hyundai/Kia after how they handled the auto situation after the pandemic. They were the worst at taking advantage of people. I hate the front and rear lights on the Sante Fe, rear lights look like dog bones. Next door neighbor has an Ioniq6 , not a fan of the styling .

My wife has a Lexus and I drive a lezbo Subaru Outback although that’s getting close to going for a Tesla

Once when I rented a car they gave me a PT Cruiser. The interior made me feel feel like I was in a cheap toy car. What a piece of crap.

I dunno.  The Ioniq looks like a sedan; I can't say it is attractive or unattractive.  The Santa Cruz is a little... curvier than the boxy Maverick, which I guess can be considered more feminine?

Huh?  I've had Hyundai's since 2006 and currently run a 2019 Tuscon.  The design and style of Hyundai's and even Kia's (also owned by Hyundai) are top-notch.  Runs great too.  Never had issues with my Hyundais...ever.

I owned a Chevy Blazer long ago before they rebranded it the Trailblazer. I see the newer Blazers around and they look okay. 

And I was originally going to post that the Telluride is a great looking SUV in todays world where SUVs tend to look more like a station wagon focked a mini van. … but then I realized that’s a KIA  

. I will add that most Teslas are butt ugly .

For a smaller suv they look nice. Same with the equinox. Most small suvs have poor design. The micro suvs all looks terrible.
