Bacon is the only meat that is at it's best VERY well done. I cook it in the microwave to get the best flavor.

Bacon is my favorite but when I go out to breakfast I find myself going with sausage links because too many places give you 2 pathetic little bacon strips. Breakfast sammich from a legit diner or deli is going to be bacon egg and cheese, taylor ham egg and cheese second. Quick breakfast sammich from Mcdonalds will be sausage patty egg and cheese Scrapple is not totally awful. I actually had it for the first time last month. I do the same with links because you never know when you’re going to get fatty, soggy, under-cooked bacon. Links with a good snap are the best. My wife has lived in Philly her whole life and swears by scrapple if it’s crisped, but I had it once and the texture is just gross.
