I don't care if you do own the club, still a tool move.

Sorry I'm with ed on this. You aren't leaving marks on there with a golf cart. Anyone who's driven on a golf course knows this. It's bad etiquette you're right but the fact that you're so outraged over it is disturbing

Did they allow you and your BIL to drive on the greens at Augusta International?

You CAN drive on a green without damaging it, but it's risky.

Depending on conditions, you could tear it up pretty good with one sharp turn.

You could also tear it up with your spikes if you pivot with your foot dug in.

BAN SPIKES

BAN SPIKES

I got into huge trouble when I was about 5 and went to play with my dad and grandpa.

I was intrigued by how well manicured and soft the greens were, so I dug my heels into about 5-6 of them before the ranger came along and blasted me.

Also, real spikes have mostly been banned for years.

"Soft spikes" aren't spikes at all.

Can you? Yes.. But as you say - it's risky. Both to the green itself and the surrounding area... You get 20 carts a day of people who say, "I never leave a mark" - you're place will look like trash before long.

Here's the problem with it...... They say if you really want to learn about someone, play a round of golf with them. It will tell you more things about them than you could get in a sit down coffee chat.. You will learn of their temperament, their personality, the way they process things, their pace, their honesty, their integrity, etc.... But you will also learn of how they view themselves, if they have a sense of respect for the grounds, the game and fellow golfers... People like this, whether they own the place or not, clearly lack the later.. They could give 2 shiits about any of it. Why? Bcoz they don't give a shiit about anything, or anybody, but themselves.

Sure.

On a side note, I feel sorry for people who will ever know the joy of walking across a cart path in hard spike golf shoes.

It's almost as satisfying as a BJ from a fat chick.

I had a summer job on a golf course growing up. One off my duties was to pull all the flags off the holes on the driving range at the end of the day. We always messed around with the carts and would jam a tee into the throttle to make it go faster. I had done this that afternoon, and unbeknownst to me it caused a ruptured oil line in the cart that i didn't notice as i was zigzagging all over the range. When i looked back it looked like a child too a black sharpie pen and scribbled all over the range...

I got out of there like Carl Spackler after the bishop took the lightning stike

If you are on a smooth piece of concrete you can run and skid and sparks flew off... Used to go that with old school golf spikes and especially baseball spikes

It sure does. A mower at my course sprung a leak. It took a long time to heal those damaged areas. Which reminds me, they drive on the greens with much more aggressive treads than carts.

You have the wrong guy.

And it was a long time ago

You sure seem outraged to the point of arguing over something someone did on a golf course. Face it. You hate the guy so you jump at the opportunity to show why he should be hated. Honestly not many people care or give a sh1t. You shouldn't either

some people are gonna hate him no matter what. He could shitt jobs and piss good economic news and they would bitchh about so many body functions.

Most people loathed him years before he ever even thought of running for president.

Its not always a political thing. Sometimes it's a dooshbag thing.

I think it's a d!ck move and all but, it's his course. He can take a sh!t in the hole if he wants.

A friend of mine (at the time) took a dump in a hole at a golf tournament. He turned out to be a rat.

This in a nutshell. If I'm paying attention, I can confidently make just about any judgement that may be necessary about someone after one round of golf with them.

None of this teaches us anything new about Trump, but it does say an awful lot about the guy.

Just read an article on him on Barstool Sports Boston. Can't link it.

The Donald has three rules:

1- He drives wherever he wants. On greens and tee boxes. Wherever.

2- His group plays through every hole. If you're in the fairway getting ready to hit to the green and Donald is behind you, he's playing through. If you're on a par three and finish. You have to wait to tee off on the next hole. He basically plays through the entire course.

3- He tees off first every hole. Doesn't matter whose tee box it is, he's first.

Add it to the list Baker.

Yeah...not sure you'd all really want to see the list of you all defend.

This is a prime example of why most American males need the occasional ass beating. Just to keep you from turning into this.

I'd hit into him on purpose if he played through while I'm in the fairway. Just say'n

Fatass Frump would rather drive on a green than walk 20 feet to grab a club, just because he can, but all the people who recognize this for the doosh move it is are the "snowflakes". :first:

Trump is just being smart. The body is like a battery, with a finite amount of energy. Walking 20 feet to grab a club is just walking 20 feet closer to your death.

From Michael Kranish and Marc Fisher's 2016 book, Trump Revealed:

After college, after Trump mostly gave up his personal athletic interests, he came to view time spent playing sports as time wasted. Trump believed the human body was like a battery, with a finite amount of energy, which exercise only depleted. So he didn’t work out. When he learned that John O’Donnell, one of his top casino executives, was training for an Ironman triathlon, he admonished him, "You are going to die young because of this."
