Song becomes more significant to me every day, I still got a couple of years, but 40's within sight

There was a litt-le spanish flea.

A record star he thought he'd be.

He heard of singers like Beatles and Chipmunks he'd seen on t vvvvvvvvvvvvv.

Why not a little spanish flea?

i do a version of an old cat stevens tune .. it's called

fill my eyes

and i really bellow

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

And in the morning when you fill my eyes

I knew that day I couldn't do,

Ahh, no wrong, I couldn't do.

And so my mind begins to memorize

'Cause time will never seem the same,

Ahh, no more, never again.

I'm just a coaster but my wheels won't go,

My legs are weak my heels are low.

I'm just a coaster but my wheels won't roll.

Can't make no headway on this road.

There's an empty space inside me now,

A wasteland deep beneath the snow,

So cold, nothing'll grow.

I'm just a coaster but my wheels won't go,

My legs are weak my heels are low.

I'm just a coaster but my wheels won't roll.

Can't make no headway on this road. What road?

And in the morning when you fill my eyes

I knew that day I couldn't do,

Ahh, no wrong, I couldn't do.

It'd have to be "Over the Hills and Far Away" or "Ramble On" by Led Zep.

Led Zep = greta-est band of all time

;) Nice!!

Thanks. I tried to think of a song I used to play over and over. I had the Two for the Show live cassette, and that song was the end of side 1. I'd play that, then flip it over to play the guitar and piano solos leading into Lonely Wind. Then maybe one other song and it would end just about perfectly to flip back over.

I recently downloaded the MP3, still listen to it. So it has withstood the test of time for me.

ETA fock I hate not having nested quotes. Screw it.

What can I say... "Brown Eyed Girl" has always been my all-time fave!

There's so many more that I love, though.

Here's just 3 more:

Clapton - "Layla"

Beatles - "Long and Winding Road"

Queen - "Fat Bottomed Girls"

Christ, single favorite?

From Zeppelin I'd agree with Over The Hills And Far Away. Also behind Layla (Derek version, not unplugged) and One.

I'll try to do a favorite or two from each decade.

60s - Behind Blue Eyes (The Who), Whipping Post (Allman Brothers)

70s - Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Pink Floyd), Layla (Derek And The Dominoes), Over The Hills And Far Away (Led Zeppelin)

80s - One (Metallica)

90s - Outshined (Soundgarden), Aenima (Tool), Big Empty (Stone Temple Pilots)

00s - Californication (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Toxicity (System of a Down)
