wiffleball 4,688 Posted June 16, 2009 I guess I need to come clean about something Philly. I mean, I never thought it would get this bad. But, after all the ribbing you gave me, I just decided to pull a harmless little prank. I've been secretly replacing your toothpast tube with ones filled with butter cream frosting mixed with scope. But as God as my witness, I never meant it to go this far. I do hope you'll forgive me before you die. I'd hate to be haunted by a Philltygeist.

jgcrawfish 232 Posted June 16, 2009 So, Philly is Godzirra? it's Gojira you focknut Oh, and there is a distinct difference between not producing enough insulin, not accepting the insulin you produce, and doing both. Type I Diabetes and Type II Diabetes, and the misnomer of the name "adult onset diabetes" lends to quite a bit of confusion. Jay Cutler is listed as a Type II (Adult Onset) diabetic, as am I. But our disease is different at this point. Jay doesn't produce enough insulin, so he has to take insulin injections to manage his sugar levels. I produce adequate amounts of insulin, but my tissue has become resistant to it. Jay's is likely the result of something genetic, an infection that attacked his pancreas or something similar. Mine is likely the result of living too hard, drinking too much and being a fat slob. Eventually, if I don't change the aforementioned traits, my pancrease will likely putter out in insulin production and i will be insulin deficient AND insulin resistant, which is bad. That is likely what is happening to phillybear. In reference to the clinical trial, if he's insulin resistant, it won't matter, because the transplanted cells in his pancreas could produce enough insulin for two people and not help if his tissue doesn't accept it. And since his body reads high sugar levels due to the resistance of the tissue to insulin, the pancreas is then prompted to push out even more insulin, effectively wearing it out again. the other factor is is the liver. it stores sugars and releases them overnight. i would eat a sensible meal at night and wake up with high sugars in the morning. it was because my body would view the extended period without eating as a "fast" and release stored sugars. a small snack helps with that, usually a piece of ham w/ cheese...not anything overly carb loaded. crawfish's tips for survival: give up caffeine, it increases blood pressure and stress levels drink water, lots of it. eat small balanced meals thru the day, not biggies eat a small snack before bed if you're going to eat poorly, walk 1 hour after eating if your body is reacting with high sugar levels, starve it for a while by getting off carbs as much as possible for about a week. pray that medical science pulls it's head out it's ass and figures out a better way to deal with this sh!t. good luck man. Voltaire 4,613 Posted June 16, 2009 Since you since you still have a pulse, you still have a chance to get better. Hopefully. Keep with the exercise and healthy eating. titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted June 17, 2009 Philly sits down on the dock, And he has just one wish, I think that I would love to have, A whole big mess of fish. OakHeadFootball 1 Posted June 17, 2009 I finally got to watch season 5 last week and I had a good laugh thinking about was how much bile Kate must have made you produce when she said "But what about us?" during "The Incident". I haven't been here in months since I found your blog but every time Kate is a dumb ###### all I can think about is how badly PB wants to rip off her teets. Hope you get that ###### under control dude. Season 6 is going to be wack if we don't have PB reviews and "Jack sucks" moments let alone the fooked up irony that would be one of the shows biggest fans not getting to see how it all plays out this close to the end. Seriously hoping you get it under control again. Best of luck bro.
