nikki2200 4 Posted May 2, 2011 With Islam women are the equivalent of a dog ....you shouldn't be surprised by that. I heard 20 + people where there. So I guess when push comes to shove they don't really buy the 72 virgins in paradise for carrying out allah's will thingy.
RLLD 3,455 Posted May 2, 2011 I don't understand how only four people were killed. You would think he would have a little mini army in there protecting him. Also awesome guard that used a woman as a body shield. Brave.... He may have wanted to keep a low profile, given that his location was determined by one of his runners frequenting the location, minimizing his contact with people may have provided a stronger defense than loading up with armed body guards. He may have also been operating under the umbrella of protection of the Pakistani government as well, hard to say.

Even if Bin Laden was protected by 500 armed guards, he is smart enough to know he is dead if we can locate him. His only defense was to stay hidden, which happens best when only a couple people know where you are.
patweisers44 697 Posted May 2, 2011 Historic day. Excellent job by the Seals Team executing a highly coordinated mission ordered by President Obama. Despite this seemingly being a "no-brainer" of a decision, it still is very "Presidential" and likely (considering the current floundering state of the Republican party)will be the impetus of a successful re-election campaign. I am not/have not been a fan of Obama and his presidency, however I am slowly resigning myself to the fact that, unless somebody gets their act in gear pretty quickly, we are looking at Obama being re-elected. If he loads a place up with security guards weilding AKs, we're gonna launch a pred missle through the bathroom window and take him out. He wasn't gonna be able to have enough guards to keep us away once we found out where he was.

I don't think it was a "no-brainer" -- we basically invaded Pakistan and shot some people there. I was thinking last night: could you imagine some other country flying a military attack force onto US soil to assassinate somebody? I like it though, it shows the world that we are still the alpha dog. It also shows that we hold a motherfocking grudge.

But when I first read that, i thjought they may have known but politically they may have decided to say they didn't. I believe bin laden is dead but I'm not sure I buy some of the other stuff like he was already buried at sea. I think he is hanging in some meatlocker at the moment. The fact that it was in Pakistan makes it perhaps a little less of a no-brainer, but taking out bin laden regardless of where he was still remains that way. I dont feel that inserting ~20 people into a compound for the specific mission of taking out an individual that is in hiding in a country (not the leader of the country in question) is "invading" as you put it. The Hood 9 Posted May 2, 2011 http://nationaljourn...-laden-20110502 From Ghazi Air Base in Pakistan, the modified MH-60 helicopters made their way to the garrison suburb of Abbottabad, about 30 miles from the center of Islamabad. Aboard were Navy SEALs, flown across the border from Afghanistan, along with tactical signals, intelligence collectors, and navigators using highly classified hyperspectral imagers. After bursts of fire over 40 minutes, 22 people were killed or captured. One of the dead was Osama bin Laden, done in by a double tap -- boom, boom -- to the left side of his face. His body was aboard the choppers that made the trip back. One had experienced mechanical failure and was destroyed by U.S. forces, military and White House officials tell National Journal. Were it not for this high-value target, it might have been a routine mission for the specially trained and highly mythologized SEAL Team Six, officially called the Naval Special Warfare Development Group, but known even to the locals at their home base Dam Neck in Virginia as just DevGru. Interesting story on the team that carried out the job...........

MedStudent 56 Posted May 2, 2011 Now when you look back at all the ###### Obama has been going through the last week with the birth certificate bs, visiting the tornado victims, and cracking jokes at the white house coorrespondents dinner. The guy really held it together and showed some coolness under pressure. It's no wonder he finally released his birth certificate. He was trying to deal with budget issues and overseeing the bin laden plans while some nutjobs were still talking about his birthplace.

titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted May 2, 2011 Fock that. I would have buried him at Ground Zero. If any focking terrorist wannabees show up...let the good people of NYC deal with them. How is this for a piece of Modern sculpture... you take Bin Laden's body, and you take two enormous wild pigs. Feed the pigs several pounds of Viagra. Let them loose. When they are in the middle of focking him in the ass, and eating him at the same time, pour molten bronze over the whole scene. Place in Lobby at new World Trade Center (whenever we actually get the focking thing built). I don't understand how only four people were killed. You would think he would have a little mini army in there protecting him. Also awesome guard that used a woman as a body shield. Brave.... I'm sure that 99% of the raghead poosays ran like little girls when Navy seals started jumping out of Blackhawks (who wouldn't?). I mean, murdering women and children they can handle, but fighting like men isn't their style. Fock you pakistan. I dare you to make noise. We wouldn't even have to level you ourselves, all we have to do is give India permission to do what they are itching to do anyway. It appears that the people that were the most vocal against the war are the ones celebrating the most. Go figure. Its awesome that the focker is dead, but it doesn't really mean much. Some other asshat will take control (quite possibly a younger, stronger, more vibrant leader) and the whole dance will begin again. I am against attempting to occupy Afghanistan to control terrorism because it never ends, and is not feasible. Now, I am all for roving death squads hunting these fockers down wherever they may be.
