Hardcore troubadour 15,911 Posted March 12, 2023 Any way we can tie this to racism or some other woke nonsense so we can get rid of it?

Here's a shot: POC rely more on public transportation which runs on a set schedule, so they are more likely to miss their ride than a rich whitey who can just drive a few minutes later. Cdub100 3,995 Posted November 3, 2023 Michigan passed a law that keeps us on DST. However it says Ohio Indiana, Wisconsin and a couple other states need to pass a similar before we change. Dumb
jerryskids 7,091 Posted November 5, 2023 So you all... gain an hour, right? Clocks move back? Enjoy your one extra hour of drinking and watching football.
Gepetto 1,454 Posted November 5, 2023 We didn't actually gain any time. One hour clock change does not affect actual time. Time is a constant, never changing.

Quote Time dilation is the difference in elapsed time as measured by two clocks, either due to a relative velocity between them (special relativity), or a difference in gravitational potential between their locations (general relativity). When unspecified, "time dilation" usually refers to the effect due to velocity. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_dilation

I just played this and learned that my wife knows all the words. It's fun learning something about a woman you've lived with for 30+ years. Also, since you all time warp, my football starts at 11 now instead of 10. I actually like the 11 start a little better.

Trump @realDonaldTrump The Republican Party will use its best efforts to eliminate Daylight Saving Time, which has a small but strong constituency, but shouldn’t! Daylight Saving Time is inconvenient, and very costly to our Nation. No no no! We want permanent DST. Nobody wants daylight while sleeping or sitting in an office or classroom. jerryskids 7,091 Posted November 2 Woke up at 6:50 today. Felt like... 6:50. Looking forward to football starting at 11:00 instead of 10. Gives me an hour to deal with "fantasy emergencies" between church and football. Last week at 9:15 I was in church and my watch told me that Drake London was out. Da fuq, Drake?! Have a great day. Those 10:00 start times were brutal for a guy used to rolling out of bed at 11:45 with a banging hangover. Fast fwd to the last couple years I spent there, now with a wife and kid, and I luxuriated in being able to watch 9+ hours of football and still be in bed before 10. I know Jerry gets his jollies from this, but it doesn’t bother me. Not all of us wanna live in a state in which summertime sunshine is a negative.
