I wonder what is coming down the pike that he doesn't want to be a part of.

I'm thinking they are worried about losing the Senate. With the new rules Reid made up, he can ram through another radical that Obama appoints.

They will probably just appoint an alias of his as his successor.

He will talk exactly like the old Holder and his IP address will be 50 ft from Holder's house. :ninja:

Are you going to bet on it?

Careful now. I don't know about this HenryHill fella but other posters have failed to carry through with their bets in the past.

There was this real fockin' dooshbag here named ReclinerPilot, just a real no-life sad sack piece of human excrement. Anyway, this RP guy promised to leave forever if Harry Reid beat Sharon Angle in the 2010 elections. Fast forward four years and he finally "left" only after the mods decided to ban his ass for a decade of insufferable trolling.

He kept popping up with various aliases after that but the mods moved quickly on those as well. We'll see if he pops up again ;) Moral of the story is, don't trust that a dooshbag political troll will keep his word, because he has no honor whatsoever.

Well that RP fella sure was obsessed with me. Even went so far as to go around IMing other sad sack posters with nefarious schemes to somehow "get" me. What a pathetic loser, amiright?

Obama should nominate Al Sharpton. Holder has turned the JD into nothing more than a race baiting outfit. Sharpton would be perfect to carry the Holder torch.

Obama isn't likely to find anybody who will have his back like Holder has. Why not just ride it out for the next couple of years? If they lose the Senate they're going to need to circle the wagons. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to see him go but the timing just seems a little odd to me.

Lerner will never talk. She thinks she's in the clear and -unfortunately- it looks like she's probably right on that.

I doubt she talks. She seems to take pleasure in stonewalling. Hope I'm wrong though. Although she'll probably just fall on her sword, take the hit and we'll never find out what actually took place. Holder stepping down won't save him from prosecution if she implicates him.

Don't know why you right wing focktards always hated the man. I think he did a fine job all in all

I guess for me it starts with Fast and Furious, goes through 'workplace violence' at Ft. Hood, surveillance of news organisations and then everybody else. There was the boneheaded decision to try one of the Bushtard's waterboarded terrorists in civilian court that almost got the guy acquitted. Now he's sticking his nose into investigating that railroaded cop in Ferguson.

This is just off the top of my head, I remember getting fed up with him on more occasions.

Fast and furious was bad but it isn't fair to hang that all on him. There was some carryover from the previous administration. But that said he should've put a stop to it

No, it wasn't a carryover from the previous administration.

Fast and Furious was the first thing that came to mind. I am wondering if someone finally got the dirt on him....

its just speculation now, we may never know the full truth. For all we know he is dedicating his life now to the plight of young black men being shot on the street, but only by white people. The good news is that he will have plenty of time to golf and such, unless he actually delves into the real problems affecting that segment of society.....

right, cause that is what he's spent his years in office doing.

racist much?

people who think like you make me sick to my stomach.

all this whining and complaining and pointing fingers and blaming, it's just never ending.

you all see things so one-sided, so off, so untrue and so hate filled.

i really wish time would speed up so you could all just die off, all of you.

(but not me because i'm nice and loving and accepting)

All Democrats are basically Communists or Socialists or h0m0sexual sympathizers and hate the core values that made this the greatest nation in the history of Man. All Republicans are great citizens and Patriots who go out of their way to defend and uphold the values of our great society through the personal sacrifice of serving their their fellow men.

Not sure what he has been doing. But I am aware that young african american men are being shot every day, in fact one was recently just shot....teenager, unarmed, shot by police, where is holder? Where is the outrage?

If you have a problem with my assertions then you have a problem with reality, picking your fights based on your agenda helps no one but politicians and corporate sponsors.

Meaningful action involves actual action, every day, pursing a better outcome for all. Holder devalued himself recently, lowering himself to the ilk of Sharpton and Jackson, both masters of exploitation to serve their need for relevance.

Hint: disagreeing by calling someone a racist wont work, not on me, i know better than to allow that trash to have any footing.

Sharpton is helping to pick the next one...

http://www.businessinsider.com/al-sharpton-says-hes-helping-pick-the-next-attorney-general-2014-9

The Rev. Al Sharpton said his civil rights organization, the National Action Network, is "engaged in immediate conversations" with the White House as they work to name a successor to Attorney General Eric Holder, who is set to announce his resignation Thursday afternoon.

"We are engaged in immediate conversations with the White House on deliberations over a successor whom we hope will continue in the general direction of Attorney General Holder," Sharpton said in a statement.

Sharpton praised Holder, the first African-American attorney general, as the "best" one in history when it comes to civil rights.

"The resignation of Attorney General Eric Holder is met with both pride and disappointment by the Civil Rights community," he said. "We are proud that he has been the best Attorney General on Civil Rights in U.S. history and disappointed because he leaves at a critical time when we need his continued diligence most."

According to a Politico profile in August, in the aftermath of the racially charged protests in Ferguson, Missouri, Sharpton has become Obama's "go-to man" on race issues.

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment about whether Sharpton is involved in the decision-making process for Holder's successor.

In his statement, Sharpton further urged Holder or his successor to promptly take over the investigations of both the death of 18-year-old Michael Brown, whose fatal encounter with the police triggered the Ferguson protests, and the death of Eric Garner during a New York Police Department arrest in Staten Island.

"As I stood with the families of Michael Brown of Ferguson, Missouri, and Eric Garner of Staten Island, New York, and called on the Justice Department to take over the criminal investigations of those cases …. today, we hope Attorney General Holder will authorize this before his departure or that it becomes the first order of business for his successor," Sharpton said.
