Â Question: Some friends went deep sea fishing in the Gulf out of Grand Isle last week and landed a 700 lbs Maco. They were told that that is very rare in the Gulf and the only reason he was there was because of the Gulf being colder than usual. Â Any truth to that? Three, why would someone need to own 6 different lightweight freshwater rods, or 6 different midweight saltwater rods, or... seriously, if you go freshwater fishing, is there a difference in the 6 rods which leads you to pick a specific one? Â Yes. I river bass fish and will use 10 rod and real combos in a boat with 2 fisherman. All get used for different baits.
