NewbieJr 541 Posted September 2, 2015 I gave you the link. go focking read it I've already spoken on this. Did Feely deny it? Did Feely refuse to cooperate? Was this the Jets second time caught cheating under that regime? If the answer to tho9se questions are no, what does this have to do with Brady cheating? HAd I known about Feely at the time, I would have called for his punishment. Especially if the Jets were second time offenders.
Thornton Melon 620 Posted September 2, 2015 That is why the judge called him in to testify because it's irrelevant The judge didn't call Feely in to testify. Nobody testified on Monday. Brady brought Feely in as ammo to help his cause ( at leadt that's how it was reported)

Djgb13 2,339 Posted September 2, 2015 Well, given that it was an ESPN report, you can pretty much expect it to be totally focked up. Still waiting for them to admit that they reported (many times over) a completely false story and have never retracted it. Maybe, if we wait another 7-8 years, they will do it on another midnight broadcast. That was completely focked up. I don't care what team it is if you report something completely false at least have the decency to apologize for it when people are actually awake to watch it. Not this whole "we will just slide it in there in the middle of the night so we can say we apologized but it won't be seen by many people". Hell does anyone even watch ESPN at night unless there's a game on? I sure as hell don't. I'll have it on during the day for background noise or to occasionally catch something that's on there. Past 10 when there's no game on? They have lower viewer ratings at that time than local news stations do
NewbieJr 541 Posted September 2, 2015 holy fock Do you realize that, if you provided 31 links to every other team cheating, it wouldn't change the fact that Brady cheated, refused to cooperate, and this is the second time the Patriots have been busted for cheating? It's like what you do with every steroid story, thinking it lessons the fact that our current all-time home run leader was a steroid-using cheater. You need new teams and players to idolize. You'd have a lot less cheating research to do.

You'd have a lot less cheating research to do. If it is true (which I cannot say for sure so let's not get into that) then wouldn't it be more of Brady cheating and not the team itself? Essentially it would be like a player doing PEDS and having the locker room guys to get him the stuff. I think it would fall more on the player than the team. And if so then that would be the first time Brady had cheated. Therefore, the repeat offender thing should be wiped off the record as far as this goes and the penalty should just be on Brady. If Brady had snuck the balls into his car and deflated them himself, then you might have a case that it was only Brady. It's VERY hard for me to believe that Belichick had no knowledge of it. But even if he didn't, this happened in their locker room. Unlike Barry Bonds, who could have been in his home bathroom shoving a syringe in his ass,

Patriotsfatboy1 1,432 Posted September 2, 2015 I remember that one. One of the other teams gunners got pushed out of bounds and the idiot assistant coach tripped him right? Yes, but let's not confuse this one with the Jets with the one with the idiot head coach from the Steelers getting in the way of a punt return for a TD during a game with the Ravens. There was a huge penalty in that one - $100k. No suspension. No draft picks. Nothing else.

Djgb13 2,339 Posted September 2, 2015 This whole thing is a farce. Should have just been a stiff fine and moved on with. Instead Goodell wants to make a big show with this whole thing, get the media involved, pay millions of dollars to a lawyer to investigate, then issue harsh penalties to both the team and the qb. If Goodell just went and said "We found that the patriots balls were under inflated. Therefore we are issuing them a fine of one million dollars and fining Brady as well." Then the whole thing would have been settled. Team was punished, Goodell looked good in front of people, the fans who hate the patriots get the fire they need to keep calling them the cheatriots, NE fans get to say "no proof and we still won the SB anyway". Everyone goes home happy. Yet Goodell focked it up and this is what it has come to

IGotWorms 4,058 Posted September 2, 2015 I haven't really kept up on the wrangling and verbiage and yada yada yada since this took place. But I will say this: I had a beautiful wife, 2 kids, a 15 year mortgage paid down to 2 years and a great job. Then I caught my wife having sex with another man. After great consternation I decided for the best of everyone and not just myself, I'd overlook it / get past it. Especially since my wife acted 100% remorseful and swore to NEVER EVER do it again. Plus I wondered if maybe I was causing a problem somehow. 2 years later mortgage is paid off but caught my wife cheating again. Now, that's twice. How could I ever trust her again. She was caught redhanded cheating twice. She swears that was the only 2 times she ever cheated. 2 times caught is usually 100 times not caught. Were the great years together really great or was she cheating then? That's how I feel about the Patriots. I'm a Redskins / Ravens fan. Have no dog in the fight except I believe the Patriots have been caught cheating twice. Just like my wife. And personally I can't EVER trust either one of them EVER AGAIN. If it's any consolation, she's one hell of a lay

But it did not go down that way, so he got a little more. I've been saying this all along. But Brady tries to give off this perfect boy image and he didn't want to tarnish that. He's the one who cheated and he's the one who's to blame for this dragging out and the media circus that it has become. He cost his team two draft picks and a million bucks. And not for cheating. But it did not go down that way, so he got a little more. So, what did you expect him to say when the NFL leaked a completely false report that stated that 11 of 12 balls were more than 2 psi low? Presumably, he is sitting there, thinking to himself that he told the equipment guys to make focking sure that he never has a ball that is pumped up like the ball in the Jets game. No way is he thinking that they would deflate them as much as the (false) report states. So you want him to publicly cop to something that he (presumably) had no knowledge of, which makes no sense whatsoever. If he had come out and said, "I want the balls at 12.5 psi and have told the ball guys to make sure that is where they are when the game is started." would that have worked? My thinking is that it wouldn't because the NFL still had no clue what the Ideal Gas Law is and they were looking for something far more nefarious.
