Moon Landing - Donald Trump WILL be our next President

Recommended Posts

I've long assumed that all politicians are liars and criminals...even before they get elected to office.

Maybe because I don't have the want-to to be a politician...but how in the hell can it be fun? Why would you want to work in this pig sty of sh!t?

The money? Somehow they all end up pretty wealthy even though their salaries are almost reasonable. :dunno:

Tyranny? And Bernie Sanders forcing me to give up my wages to help some retarded kid go to college and get free stuff isn't focking tyranny?

You're angry at the wrong people. Free college wouldn't cost sh1t in the grand scheme of things. It's the 1% sucking up all your wages including through taxes. Who do you think owns the military contractors, big pharma, Wall Street getting huge tax breaks, etc.?

Not all politicians are 'owned' by lobbyist. No more than every lawyer is a weasel.

Sure there is an issue there, no doubt, which is why I support term limits, but the actual Chicken Little Mantra applies to that too. "All politicians are bought and paid for!@#!" Just stop it.

If that is a big thing for you then you should vote for people who support term limits. You should vote out incumbents who PROVE that by their actions. You should change the system by being smart about it. Shoulda voted for Rand this cycle.

What you shouldn't do is vote in a con artist billionaire who has paid off politicians and worked with wall street his entire career. Not to mention is notorious for holding grudges, being petty, saying inflammatory things, not having actual ideas, etc.

It's preposterous.

Current general election scenarios (from realclearpolitics.com)

Clinton 46.5

Trump 43.5

Cruz 46.5

Clinton 45.0

Rubio 48.5

Clinton 43.5

Sanders 49.8

Trump 41.8

Sanders 50.0

Cruz 40.3

Sanders 47.3

Rubio 44.0

Kasich 47.7

Clinton 40.3

Sanders 43.0

Kasich 42.5

Clinton 46.3

Carson 45.0

Funny thing is many stupid democrats are voting for Hilary because she's a better general election candidate? Really? People hate her and the polls say Sanders is a much better candidate in the general election.

Now to be fair it's possible Sanders would do much worse the more people learned about him and his stances. But I'd take that gamble versus the entrenched unfavorability ratings for Clinton

BLS is right, though - if it's Trump vs Clinton - Trump will win. There are plenty of Democrats that flat refuse to vote for her.

And honestly, I think Trump is the only Republican that could beat her. Kasich is the only Republican that could beat Sanders.

Sanders is who the people thought they would get when they voted for Obama. So ironically, maybe Obama is to blame for Sanders coming up just short now. He didn't deliver.

Kasich will hang around no matter what, hoping for a brokered convention. It could work.

I'm still holding out for this scenario. I think the Republicans may have to do it. They can't let Trump be the face of their party. And if the Republicans put forth two candidates, I truly believe that Bernie would consider running as an Independent. If that's the case, there is a LEGIT chance of there being four names on the Presidential Ballot and that's exciting. It may be Bernie's only hope of winning this.

We could be finally looking at the end of the two party system in America.

It think Trump winning the nomination virtually assures Hillary of a win. Democrats who don't like Hillary and might have stayed home or gone 3rd party will fall in line if he opponent is an apparent lunatic. And I get the sense the GOP leadership is not wild about being associated with Donald.

ETA: I think Kasich sticks around because he might make a strong Veep, being a governor from a potentially important swing state.

That is an intriguing scenario. I'm still not thrilled by any of those 4 as actual Presidential Candidates, but it's a step in the right direction.

I am firmly convinced after seeing the primaries that there are millions of closeted Trump voters. And many of them are not thrilled with GOP "leadership". In fact anything that GOP "leadership" is against can't be all bad.

Easy now. I hate the two party system too but unless we're going to change the Constitution to a parliamentary type of government, I'm pretty sure we're stuck with it :(

You may be right but I think there are also millions of Republicans who are frankly embarrassed that their party is being represented by Trump.

Excellent argument.

Here, I'll get you started.

Do a youtube search for Yuri Bezmenov.

Now, after you watch it, I'd be happy to debate the merits of his arguments. I think you'll find it very intriguing, regardless of whether you agree with it or not.

I fail to see how that could have any relevancy since Sanders isn't a communist. He believes in a market based economy rather than a planned economy. I would never support a planned economy

That's pretty clear, if you take this forearm as a small sample size. Jerry, GoColts, etc. etc. do not want to vote for Trump. We'll just have to wait and see if republican voters tow the party line or don't vote at all. I don't think primary turn-out is a true reflection of how the actual turn-out will be come election day. Time will tell.

Except for healthcare and higher education. Got it.

So he KIND OF believes in a market based economy.

Sounds to me like he's fuckin confused.

Of course, all you have to do is listen to the moron or even just look at him to realize he's off the plantation.

Yes, exactly. We are in exact agreement except you think that equates to Marxism because you're a right wing moonbat.

Education already isn't a free market economy in K-12, and that's a good thing. Do you think K-12 should be entirely private? If you can't afford private school for your kid, fvck him? You may be a d1ck but I don't think you're that big of a d1ck.

Healthcare already isn't a completely free market either. Medicare and Medicaid ensure that certain people are covered regardless of their ability to pay. Obamacare has expanded that concept a bit. Again, guess what, unless you think someone should be left to die on the streets because they can't afford to pay for healthcare, then you're a focking Marxist apparently.

Jesus set your rigid ideology aside for a second and look at this through practical lenses

Maybe. But at least he is honest about his stances. At least you know where you stand and what you're voting for. At least you can halfway believe Bernie Sanders. I won't vote for Bernie because his ideology about America is totally different than mine. But I respect Bernie.

Trump. Who the fock knows what he thinks or what he'll do and I have zero respect.

Healthcare isn't free market because there are no prices and no understanding of the true cost of services. Not to mention someone having a heart attack isn't going to go heart shopping. We're not talking about buying a car here.

Exactly, it's just common sense that it is not and never really could be a free market.

Education could be but then we're back in feudal times. No thanks BLS

Ironic that BLS ran out of ammunition and threw the gun.

I'm not going to dive into a ideological discussion about the merits of socialism vs. capitalism.

That would require a face to face conversation.

I think if the "establishment" coalesced behind Kasich, it would be the biggest problem for Trump. Cruz and Rubio both have their own baggage, with Cruz being a phony slimeball and Rubio being just a spaz. Kasich is "clean" as far as that goes and would stay above the fray, as Cruz and Rubio have both proved incapable of doing.

I just don't get why the governor of focking Ohio isn't the guy. Weird.

It's not all that hard to understand, years of Robert Murdoch's bombastc media desensitizing the base to inflamatory statements , rejection of science and mocking experts as "elitistist liberals", just a few of the reasons why he's got 30% of the country supporting him. And that 30% might be high, I'm guesstimating based on his percentage he's getting in the primaries, 50-60% of the primaries have been votes against him.

And despite BLS statements of how hated Hiliary is, Trump has a higher unfavorability, and when it gets one on one between the two, Hilary will look even better.

See my above response on why Trump is the guy. Years of reconditioning by Fox has made drastically changed how the right wing base views and expects there candidates to act. Even 4 years ago, a politician couldn't say, I could shoot somebody in Times Square and still get elected, now people shrug. A modest adult like Kasich, no chance in today's landscape. Just my opinion.
