I can't wait til this ends and all of you are bowing down and licking the Ben gay from president Hilary's toes. Bill Clintons wife is going to be president, who saw that coming?

The Pundits are jumping on Trump just randomly interjecting "Such a Nasty Woman, Such a Nasty Woman" - while she was talking about (of all things) Social Security.

Betting the Late Night guys pick up on that tonight and tomorrow.

Mrs President If You're Nasty!

Hillary calling Trump a puppet was kinda silly. The guy puts his name on everything. Meanwhile she constantly does the bidding of her donors.

Well, like many have said, nothing really moved the decideds off their mark. That's a positive for HRC given her lead.

As far as undecideds go, just didn't see much of a needle mover. It was both of their best debates.

Pretty much everyone in America for the past 12 years.

Between Chris Wallace and Megyn Kelly, Fox is starting to look like a legit news source.

Was it as silly as Trump saying over her "No, you're the puppet. You're the puppet. You're the puppet. "

I remember how Obama made Hilary seem incredibly boring leading up to 08. At first there was a decent amount of energy for her. He surfaced a bit later, but once he did, she fell quickly. So it does surprise me...didn't see her being in this position.

Trump actually said the offensive to take back Mosul was orchestrated to help Hillary get elected.

Wallace was pretty damn good, dude should moderate every debate

Wallace asked tough questions to each, but IMO he stumbled over a lot of questions and did very little to control the candidates. :dunno:

Kinda schoolyard, yeah.

Did people really think she would be the nominee though?

why now, he was right about it, they talked about taking back Mosul 3 months ago, why invade now? Why not strike 3 months ago.

Trump is right, if their excuse is to get leaders, they are all long gone

It's an important step before Raqqa.

Yes, Trump looked good on that one. Made Odumba look stupid. But of course there will be claims about all the high ranking members we kill.

Thy really should have a light system.

Green - you have the floor.

Yellow - you have 30 seconds left.

Red - your mic is cut off, literally turned off, when you've falied to stop.

While not your turn, your mic is off as well.

Apparently as of this summer the ideal was to put pressure on Mosul and Raqqa simultaneously, but major evolving alliances in the region (Russia, Turkey, Iran) make advances into Syria super tricky.

ERBIL Brigadier General David Anderson told reporters on Wednesday that after the fall of Mosul city, the Islamic State (ISIS) will continue to hold Raqqa, which they value more. Anderson leads Canada’s Ministerial Liaison Team, which trains Iraqi soldiers and coordinates within the US-led coalition.

The coalition general said that following the liberation of Mosul, it will take an estimated 30,000 to 45,000 troops to secure such a large city. Local police would remain on the front line, serving as the public face of Iraqi security.

“[Mosul’s fall] doesn’t mean ISIS is completely defeated,” Anderson said. “They will still be holding terrain in Tal Afar and out to the Syrian border. They’ll still be holding terrain in the western part of the [Euphrates River Valley] in Iraq. And of course, they still have the capital of their so-called caliphate in Raqqa.”

According to the general, the fate of Mosul and Raqqa will be interlinked.

“There’s a linkage between the two. Ideally, both could be pressured at the same time, because I think if I was in Mosul and I needed somewhere to go, I would go to Raqqa if I wanted to maintain the fight,” he said.

The general reminded reporters that Raqqa in Syria, and Mosul in Iraq, are the capitals of the Islamic State’s so-called caliphate. “And so they both matter an awful lot to [iSIS] and I think that probably Raqqa matters more,” Anderson said.

“If Mosul falls first, there is the potential for fighters to be able to reinforce into Raqqa. But beyond that, it would literally be crystal balling and I don’t know any more than that,” he concluded.

Nice how much we sound like we know what we're doing :ninja:

eta: expectation that IS will use chemical weapons in Mosul defensive; probably one of the reasons the difficulty of the operation is being emphasized more now.

Trump has just managed to turn Republicans into conspiracy theorists, because if you believe that a massive offensive certain to cost American lives was timed for the purpose of helping Clinton get elected, then you're retarded.

The goal wasn't to kill them. That's the goal here, right? Please tell me I'm right. And that was a sitting, recognized Govt.

Bowled a 504 series. Should've done much better, but I didn't get beer framed and drank for free.

After glancing over this thread, I see that I didn't miss much and it seemingly was the most boring of the debates.

Cool cool.

Chris Wallace won the debate.

Fair, tough questions for both. Too bad they all aren't like that.

I agree, Wallace was fantastic. Lots of good questions about policy and plans for the problems America faces.

The other moderators were awful in comparison.

The press' biggest take is whether the loser will accept the result. What a sad state of journalism.

You don't think the first presidential candidate in the history of presidential campaigns saying that he can't say whether he'll accept the results of the elections a big story?
