wiffleball 4,790 Posted October 20, 2016 The Pundits are jumping on Trump just randomly interjecting "Such a Nasty Woman, Such a Nasty Woman" - while she was talking about (of all things) Social Security. Betting the Late Night guys pick up on that tonight and tomorrow. Mrs President If You're Nasty!
Hardcore troubadour 15,517 Posted October 20, 2016 Hillary calling Trump a puppet was kinda silly. The guy puts his name on everything. Meanwhile she constantly does the bidding of her donors.
wiffleball 4,790 Posted October 20, 2016 Well, like many have said, nothing really moved the decideds off their mark. That's a positive for HRC given her lead. As far as undecideds go, just didn't see much of a needle mover. It was both of their best debates.

Frank M 181 Posted October 20, 2016 Hillary calling Trump a puppet was kinda silly. The guy puts his name on everything. Meanwhile she constantly does the bidding of her donors. naomi 356 Posted October 20, 2016 Pretty much everyone in America for the past 12 years. I remember how Obama made Hilary seem incredibly boring leading up to 08. At first there was a decent amount of energy for her. He surfaced a bit later, but once he did, she fell quickly. So it does surprise me...didn't see her being in this position. RaiderHaters Revenge 4,363 Posted October 20, 2016 Trump actually said the offensive to take back Mosul was orchestrated to help Hillary get elected. :headslap: why now, he was right about it, they talked about taking back Mosul 3 months ago, why invade now? Why not strike 3 months ago. Trump is right, if their excuse is to get leaders, they are all long gone

naomi 356 Posted October 20, 2016 Apparently as of this summer the ideal was to put pressure on Mosul and Raqqa simultaneously, but major evolving alliances in the region (Russia, Turkey, Iran) make advances into Syria super tricky. ERBIL – Brigadier General David Anderson told reporters on Wednesday that after the fall of Mosul city, the Islamic State (ISIS) will continue to hold Raqqa, which they value more. Anderson leads Canada’s Ministerial Liaison Team, which trains Iraqi soldiers and coordinates within the US-led coalition. The coalition general said that following the liberation of Mosul, it will take an estimated 30,000 to 45,000 troops to secure such a large city. Local police would remain on the front line, serving as the public face of Iraqi security. “[Mosul’s fall] doesn’t mean ISIS is completely defeated,” Anderson said. “They will still be holding terrain in Tal Afar and out to the Syrian border. They’ll still be holding terrain in the western part of the [Euphrates River Valley] in Iraq. And of course, they still have the capital of their so-called caliphate in Raqqa.” According to the general, the fate of Mosul and Raqqa will be interlinked. “There’s a linkage between the two. Ideally, both could be pressured at the same time, because I think if I was in Mosul and I needed somewhere to go, I would go to Raqqa if I wanted to maintain the fight,” he said. The general reminded reporters that Raqqa in Syria, and Mosul in Iraq, are the capitals of the Islamic State’s so-called caliphate. “And so they both matter an awful lot to [iSIS] and I think that probably Raqqa matters more,” Anderson said. “If Mosul falls first, there is the potential for fighters to be able to reinforce into Raqqa. But beyond that, it would literally be crystal balling and I don’t know any more than that,” he concluded. Nice how much we sound like we know what we're doing eta: expectation that IS will use chemical weapons in Mosul defensive; probably one of the reasons the difficulty of the operation is being emphasized more now. Brad GLuckman 519 Posted October 20, 2016 Chris Wallace won the debate. Fair, tough questions for both. Too bad they all aren't like that. I agree, Wallace was fantastic. Lots of good questions about policy and plans for the problems America faces. The other moderators were awful in comparison.
