The point is he didn't consult with the generals. Mattis said give him 6 months...less than a month ago...as I stated from the beginning. This caught the Pentagon off guard.

And therein lies the problem. Active duty people didn't give a sh1t what you did in your off time as long as it wasn't illegal. Don't make us come in cause you got in trouble or have to go pick you up cause you've been arrested and you're good. No one cared if you called yourself Julia and got plowed by dudes on the weekend so long as you came to work when you were supposed to, did your job like you were supposed to, and looked how you were supposed to in uniform. But you have these fock sticks who want to take advantage of everything and have the military pay for all their treatments even though it's not a medical condition. It's a personal choice. They ruined it for the rest of the trannies.

All in all, I'm sick of this s***. I'm a big fan of BBC America, but lately, they seem to have a stated policy that every show has to have gays and trannies and freak shows of all colors flavors and sizes.

I'm a numbers guy. Gays represent at best 3% of the population. Trannys a fraction of 1%. So why the f*** is it being shoved down our throat on 99% of all television shows these days?

The Army will take fatties in but they get an extra-long basic training to meet height/weight standards and -oh my god- basic training sucks. It was so miserable. You just want to put your nose down, grind, complete all your tasks the first time to stick with your peers you came in with, graduate, and get out of there. But these obese recruits, bless them, they couldn't even start regular basic training until they got their weight down. They'd exercise like mad to get to a point where they could be mainstreamed and start from the beginning where they'd then continue exercising like mad alongside the rest of us.

 

I should know. Regarding these extreme fatty recruits, ha, my training unit got a better vantage point than anyone since they shared a building with us. We saw them out there every day in basic and it was such a laugh.

 

I was in E Company 2-10 in basic at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. Four platoons of about ~30 recruits each. We were the same as A,B,C, and D Company 2-10. And all of 3-10, all of 4-10 the same. Four platoons of about ~30, 120 in a Company. To these other units F-2-10 was out of sight, out of mind but a nice thing about E-2-10 is that we got a full daily dose.

 

F Co 2-10 was different. While fat guys were mainstreamed, the really obese were put in Foxtrot. Since they lived in a separate wing of our building, we saw more of F Co than we did of A,B,C,and D combined.

 

Foxtrot was a single platoon, maybe 30-40 guys rather than 120, all obese. Seeing them concentrated together in a single platoon like that was hilarious. For one thing, they all looked comically out of place in their ill-fitting uniform. Then the other thing was that they were out there doing PT and failing miserably at the various running and situps exercises they were being put through. They all looked so ragged and were performing so terribly at the physical exercises. It was such a laugh, so many jokes to be had at their expense.

 

We weren't allowed to taunt them but some did and were cracked down on. I'm not cruel so I never said anything, but my goodness, the jokes flew when the drill sergent were out of earshot. It was funny as hell when I was 17. An outlet of much needed comic relief during a miserable ten weeks and one only us in E-2-10 got. Those poor bastards though, I'd have hated to spend an extra five minutes in basic training these guys were there for weeks, maybe even months.

So, I've made my feelings known here, but I gotta tell you:

 

This isn't a policy made in a vacuum; We have active troops on the ground in multiple theatres facing actual hostile enemies who mean to kill them and their colleagues.

 

The LAST thing our guys need to be worried about is:

 

1) Hey, do I send these X guys/gals home?

2) Do I make them STOP being whatever?

3) Are they allowed on tonight's mission?

4) Will I be fired / disciplined if I'm wrong about any of the above?

 

And that's the commanders in the field. Not to mention the colleagues - who already made on understandably tough adjustment. Now, they don't the answer to those questions either? That the guy/girl they've counted on may not even be there? May be on the next chopper out?

 

The overwhelming thought here from all sides is: YOU DON'T MAKE POLICY VIA TWEET. And you damn sure don't do it as regards active troops facing imminent harm. - And you don't SPRING it on your military leadership and their command. Chain of Command works both ways.

 

Talk about 'distraction"? Can you imagine what;s going on in the field right now? Things I'm hearing are tantamount to damn near treason. - "Look, we got your back, don't worry about it." Is Trump going to Article X every one of the commanders who don't immediately kick these guys off the battlefield too?

I like Sessions and while I can't speak for other Sessions fans, the whole "look at the left hand while the right is pushing Session out the door" effect doesn't work. Despite all of Trump's flaws I've not bailed on him yet but this is something that could set me off.

Anyone who ever suggested that what he is about to say/Tweet would be fired on the spot. I was hoping Ivanka would eventually settle in as someone who has more intelligence/class than her father and he would allow her to advise him on certain things, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

Ok ok ok. For the idiots who are focking defending the transgenders in the military let me break it down for you so you can shut the hell up.

 

It is a logistics nightmare. I'll explain: currently you cant serve in the military if you have any medical condition that require constant treatment or excessive accommodation. Thats why people with asthma, diabetes, permanent STDs (like HIV), people with cancer or recurring history of cancer and individuals with physical disabilities cant serve (except in very rare cases where a specific waiver is granted).

 

Transgender individuals require hormone replacement therapy, they require psychiatric treatment during transition, and if they elect to get surgery it can take 2-4 years for them to recover to the point of being eligible to deploy (the military is all about readiness so not being able to deploy right off the bat is a big NO for reasons why people cant get in). On top of that, after the surgery they are at a higher risk of infection for the rest of their life, which complicates any attempt at sending them to the field to train where hygiene isnt always able to be pristinely maintained or overseas. An overseas deployment also puts the individual at risk because they may not have access to their hormone replacement drugs, which leads to withdrawal and hormone imbalances as well as health problems.

 

So, just like diabetes and cancer patients and individuals with physical or mental disabilities, it just isnt feasible to accommodate these people so that they can serve.
