ANTIFA supporters just showed up at the funeral for Heather Heyer with baseball bats, helmets, and shields. Can't wait to hear Slow Puff explain this away...

It's mind boggling that people can't put blame on both sides and even saying such makes you a "racist". I didn't vote for Trump, don't even really like him, but he's right here.......he is.....it sort of pains me to say it.

Neo-Nazis and the KKK are vile hateful groups. That doesn't really need to be even said, it's given.....accepted. Their role in what went down in Charlottesville is clear. The guy that rammed the car is in jail and charged appropriately. That part of "who is responsible" is done, put a bow on it. Everyone knows.

But there is other blame to go around too. The world isn't black and white. These Antifa groups and the militant wing of BLM are violent protesters that instigated much of this. We're not talking about college kids in flip flops with catchy signs here. These people showed up with sticks, bats, masks, helmets looking for confrontation. They've been doing this a while and its ramping up....these groups.

I and most reasonable people should point fingers at all of them, both sides. Doing that doesn't mean you condone the KKK. That's some back asswards logic.

I agree. Those people were looking for a fight.

If you jump into a cage with a bear, and get mauled, I have no pity for you.

What trump said was accurate. Horribly delivered, and politically inadvisable, but accurate.

We do have evidence to the contrary...I have posted the articles and videos showing it was not peaceful.

You would have to be dumb or blind to claim we have no evidence to the contrary.

So the people who showed up armed without a permit are the innocent ones? Got it.

Trump wasn't wrong. It just painfully obvious that he chose this instance to dole out equal blame because he doesn't want to piss off the angry white man demographic. If the guy driving that car was Muslim you know the Don would be Twittering about the need for a travel ban etc within minutes.

Oh, I thought we were talking about innocent people. Since Ferguson. You got two though. That's very good in light of your childish rant.

I listed four. Took me less time than it did for you to create another fake friend.

Ha ha. I completely agree with the last sentence.

If done peacefully...I believe that it is just as much the right of a counter protest to drown out such protest yet.

Whether it be from these people against nazis...or Bikers coming in between westboro nuts and a funeral.

So people have the right to free speech at a peaceful assembly unless somebody disagrees with their views. In which case group B has the right to infringe on group A's right to assemble peacefully.

Brilliant.

Two of them were post Ferguson and recorded, and they appear to be unjustified. Those were the parameters set forth. I set them. You lose.

Oh, I agree completely. I just don't see how a group is supposed to enjoy a peaceful assembly when another group thinks they have the right to disrupt that assembly. It isn't possible.

Have a different view? Hold another rally at a different venue. Or hold a rally at the same venue the following week.

I have no problem with a counter protest. It's not like the citizens of Charlottesville were sitting around thinking "You know what would make today even better? A Nazi rally!"

Good thing ol reliable racism came along. The Russia thing isn't looking so great. Canceled after one season despite glowing reviews from the critics.

I find Trump's reply to be fairly lame. We stand against hate okay. There's hate on all sides? I think given the fact that guys like David Duke pretty clearly think of Trump as their boy he might have spent a few words criticized my white nationalism.

Sad.

:dunno:

In June, emails were discovered where Russians invited Trump Jr, Manafort, and Kushner to a meeting to give them dirt on Hillary. Trump Jr's response was "I love it!!". In July, the FBI raided Manafort's house. They needed just cause and a panel of judges felt there was enough evidence to justify it.

It's now mid-August. Yeah, the investigation is really stalling. :first:

As long as we allow people to infringe the rights of other people we will continue to see this bullsh!t.

Hold your counter protest somewhere else. Or show up looking for trouble. Just don't be surprised when you find it.

I'm sure the citizens of Charlottesville didn't want any of these ass-holes polluting their town.

How is counter protesting infringing on the rights of protestors?

They have a right to rally. Other people have the right to counter rally. If you don't like mean werds go hold your Nazi parade on private property.

The puzzification of America continues. Even Nazis can't take the heat.

Fock them and their torches but do you think they were going to beat the sh!t out each other? The fact is, as tasteless and reprehensible as their message may have been, there would have been zero violence had the protesters not showed up.

What about racist, offensive, vile literature or music? Should it be silenced? Maybe burn some books we find offensive....peacefully? How about we censore everything found offensive, as long as it's done peacefully. Who gets to be the censore police? Who gets to decide what's worth censoring?

So you think counter protest should not be allowed? Or only when you don't like the side countering?

Yeah I'm curious to see that too.

Post a real link to what happened.

If they are there to keep the peace...better waybto do it than armored up and with weapons. Do as those who come between westboro and other funerals. Especially since it was rumored that one of the racist groups was going to attend to protest.

And they had a permit...quit believing Trumps lies.

Didn't answer my question, but ok, I'll answer yours. Then maybe you can answer mine.

No. They should not have been allowed at the same park as the Nazi protest. Same as the Nazis shouldn't be allowed at the counter protesters designated park. Seems like a logical way to try to keep it peaceful. Everyone has their constitutional right to peaceful assembly.

Now, can you answer my question?

So what, the police are supposed to stand around making sure everyone is at the proper protest?

Bet that was a good day to be doing Robberies on the other side of town.

Remember when those 2nd amendment rallies took place. Those protesters were armed with guns. Guess what? Those protests/rallies were peaceful. So, it's not the weapons. Maybe, just maybe, it's the antagonists who try to silence or drown out views they disagree with.

Just a thought :dunno:

Infringe? By being loud? How do they not?

Do bikers have the right to get in between a soldiers funeral and westboro?

One right to assemble does not mean people don't have the right to also assemble and drown out the other.
