I don't know about other states, but here in the people's republic of NY, "dreamers" and other illegals are eligible for Medicaid and public assistance. So this whole they don't get benefits claim is not true. Tax payers fund that. And the schools their kids attend.

Their background checks were done, and in order to have a proper one done it would have to include their life in their country of origin. I dont trust those countries that have no infrastructure and lie to us all the time. They have a financial interest in getting as many of their people'here as possible. And they have shown their word is useless by things like nafta where they don't even attempt to hold up their end of the bargain.

I agree with trump that the initiative should come from congress. I was surprised to hear him say he supported them doing so. I don't know if that was just easy to say because he knows congress won't do it, or if he's really ok with it.

 

I hate that these people will be kicked from, in many cases, the only home they've ever known. I wish congress would get off their ass and do the right thing.

 

I also don't really buy that trump is a huge devotee of separation of powers. We will see if he starts trying to legislate when congress won't. If he doesn't, I'll eat those words.
