We are basically saying the same thing. It would apply to all evidence that was obtained illegally. In other words, if the dossier is thrown out, then so is everything related to it. If you're claiming the dossier itself involved illegally obtained evidence which was then used to get corroborating evidence to get a warrant, you may be right. Not so much that it obtained evidence illegally (it could have and that will certainly be looked at) but the document itself was not properly vetted and documented as to who was behind it and why (which appears to be the main crux of the Memo). Is there a requirement in FISA hearings to disclose possible bias of an author of part of the information used to obtain a warrant (or renewal). That seems to be pretty important information that this memo won't discuss. Its issues like that...among likely others...that the FBI and Schiff and others have had with disclosing this memo without context and underlying support. I'd be glad to discuss my takeaway from the memo. By primary takeaway is that if the claims are serious then I would expect that Gates will not seek a plea deal but will instead seek to have indictment overturned immediately. The memo does not state the warrant was based on the yahoo article...neither does McCabe's testimony (nice partial use of it in the memo though rather than the full quotes Im sure). What the memo did do was refute the narrative that the dossier started the counter intelligence investigation...so...you all lost part of your narrative in your own memo.
