jerryskids 6,585 Posted February 6, 2018 I had two rap songs on my list for the 90s which stand out, G Thang being the third. Here is my favorite, still stands out as an iconic crossover dance tune: 2.03 Gangsta's Paradise - Coolio https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryCpg8f45gc
shotsup 832 Posted February 6, 2018 Added the video for my pick. By the way, to keep things clean it would be a good idea to remove videos from replies. Good call. Good etiquette
shotsup 832 Posted February 6, 2018 Because? Because I was making a joke that you were going to pick a shitton of Steel Panther (I #####'ed to not name drop) Then I did some homework and saw SP was not a 90's band.

mobb_deep 920 Posted February 6, 2018 I get that a Metallica song has to be picked early, but holy sh!t did Metallica completely jump ship after And Justice For All. The Black Album is garbage.

dain11279 963 Posted February 6, 2018 This is gonna be an interesting draft with songs like this going so early. I feel ghey for taking it but this focking song was on the radio every 10 minutes or on MTV or VH1 every other song back when they actually played videos. Too iconic not to take it. 2.04 I Will Always Love You - Whitney Houston

bandrus1 413 Posted February 6, 2018 2.05 enjoy the silence- depeche mode probably thought of as an 80's band but their 90 album Violator is an absolutely perfect album

One is my favorite Metallica song; the next 3 are from the Black Album. I guess that's why god created different Metallica albums.

mobb_deep 920 Posted February 6, 2018 2.05 enjoy the silence- depeche mode probably thought of as an 80's band but their 90 album Violator is an absolutely perfect album Great tune. So is Bitter Sweet Symphony. Part of the third British Invasion and a big FU to the American grunge movement. No shame in the Whitney pick either. The Bodyguard always gets the panties dropping! vuduchile 1,945 Posted February 6, 2018 Going a different direction with one of my favorite blues/rock artists 2.07 Blue On Black-Kenny Wayne Shepherd Wow. Didnt expect to see him this early, or maybe at all. We may see him again.
nzoner 937 Posted February 6, 2018 Wow. Didnt expect to see him this early, or maybe at all. We may see him again. I'm more of a 60's-80's music lover but a lover of music nonetheless so my 90's selections will be a mixed bag of my favs as I wasn't big at all into grunge or rap, don't get me wrong i have a few I listen to but for the most part no thanks.

Voltaire 5,205 Posted February 6, 2018 I get that a Metallica song has to be picked early, but holy sh!t did Metallica completely jump ship after And Justice For All. The Black Album is garbage. They softened up. The thrash metal stuff was when they felt they had to prove themselves. Those were complex technically challenging pieces and long and tiring to play live. Also, you saw how many Slayer, Anthrax, and Megadeth songs went in the 80s draft. The black album was 16x platinum.
