drobeski 3,061 Posted October 4, 2018 More people believe Ford than Kavanaugh, and by a wider margin since they testified. https://www.npr.org/2018/10/03/654054108/poll-more-believe-ford-than-kavanaugh-a-cultural-shift-from-1991 https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-court-kavanaugh-poll/opposition-to-kavanaugh-grows-after-senate-hearing-reuters-ipsos-poll-idUSKCN1MD27V
Brad GLuckman 519 Posted October 4, 2018 Don't bother posting NPR links. Only stoopid commie cucks believe their propaganda over conservative treehouse. I do consider NPR to be a biased news source. They are, however, not nearly as bad as foxnews or cnn. I found it interesting because of the amount of people that said this would backfire for the Dems. It doesnt look that way. drobeski 3,061 Posted October 4, 2018 Apparently OM thinks one has to attempt not to show emotion when talking about his daughter in a certain way. Cry pretty or something? When pissed you been falsely accused you can get mad, but only a cute faced mad way. Cause if not you be rapey. theres a common denominator here with all those who bash his emotional reaction. Not a single one of them has their own daughter. Forgive them for their complete ignorance for they not have a clue.

I found it interesting because of the amount of people that said this would backfire for the Dems. It doesnt look that way. Agreed. Your post was interesting. Just shows me that those asking for more time already have their mind made up based on emotion/party over evidence (or the complete lack thereof). Thats court of public opinion for you. Thank God the criminal system is the complete opposite. I would hope a job interview would follow the latter over the former. If not were setting a horrible precedent.
seafoam1 3,087 Posted October 4, 2018 Agreed. Your post was interesting. Just shows me that those asking for more time already have their mind made up based on emotion over evidence (or the complete lack thereof) Democrats are run on emotion. Without it, they would have NOTHING.
OldMaid 2,130 Posted October 4, 2018 What are you trying to say then? Seriously? That you didnt like how he showed emotion? Spit it out. Most people trying to hold back tears do look like a three year old. Its a rather ugly face. Maybe I just know too many people who’ve liked to party HARD, cause that sniffling seemed more like it was cocaine induced than anything else.

Brad GLuckman 519 Posted October 4, 2018 Agreed. Your post was interesting. Just shows me that those asking for more time already have their mind made up based on emotion over evidence (or the complete lack thereof) I think part of it is that most people didnt watch the hearings, so they only saw clips on the news. Those clips provide little substance and show a calm woman claiming to be a victim and an angry, emotional man berating Senators. Personally, Im not a fan of the Kavanaugh pick because I am worried about his views on mass surveillance. But this whole process has made me sympathetic towards the guy.

Cdub100 3,934 Posted October 4, 2018 Where the fock did I ever suggest that? The doofus upthread said people were making fun of Kavanaugh for showing emotions... I merely suggested why. It wasn’t because he was showing emotion. It’s that he morphed between making facial expressions like a 3 yr old throwing a tantrum, and guy who just came off a 3 day bender.
OldMaid 2,130 Posted October 4, 2018 Apparently you can’t make the distinction. People weren’t making fun of him for showing emotion. It’s how he showed them. Big difference.
KSB2424 3,148 Posted October 4, 2018 Apparently you cant make the distinction. People werent making fun of him for showing emotion. Its how he showed them. Big difference. How would you of liked him to of shown emotion better? If he truly is falsely accused of heinous sex crimes and is talking about his daughter, exactly what would be acceptable? No sniffles? Smile more?

wiffleball 4,790 Posted October 4, 2018 I think it's the wrong question to ask who you believe. Ask men something like do you believe this is something that should withhold him from confirmation? That's where I think you'd see some really interesting results. End of the day, even if you believe her out right, what? It's a brief dry hump? At a high school party? Well for Petes sake, let's bring back crucifixion. At least that's what I keep coming back to. If you're such an emotional feeb nitwit that 35 years later you are this horrificly tragically scarred for life over an unsuccessful dry hump in high school? Let me introduce you to the truck full of women who were blown up by a flaming IED in Iraq 13 years ago, whose face is literally melted off. Who have gotten over it and moved on. I've never been so mad at the Press. They sure as hell don't speak for me. And honestly? I don't think they speak for the majority of smart capable confident mature women either.

KSB2424 3,148 Posted October 4, 2018 Come on... it wasnt just when he was talking about his daughter and you know it.What exactly are you getting at? I watched most of it. His reaction was exactly how I would expect a person falsely accused to act. A person truly falsely accused should be pixxed off. Id have lost my mind listening to something you know is BS. If he was all calm and flippant and reading a script his lawyer wrote Id be questioning that more. Regardless its not about his word or hers. seafoam1 3,087 Posted October 4, 2018 Again, I didnt say he does coke. Its how he came across. Fock, how did any of you guys pass english? I would love to see the public's reaction if Kav were to come out and say, "miss Ford you look hungover on booze and coke." (because she kind of does). Her reply is "I just really need my coffee." All the bags under her eyes. She looks tired and speaks in a meek insecure voice as if she is either acting or seriously jonesing for her next hit. OldMaid 2,130 Posted October 4, 2018 I actually think this whole thing stinks to high heaven. I don’t like the games either side has been playing. But here’s what common sense dictates, to me: 1. I don’t like Republicans holding back info. 2. The timing of this is suspect. I can admit, it’s an obvious stall tactic. (from the Democrat’s side) 3. The holes in her memory don’t play well. 4. He didn’t come off truthful, either. It’s fairly obvious about the yearbook entries. And someone has come forward to refute his testimony on knowing about the 2nd accuser earlier than he stated. 5. Someone edited the official Devil’s triangle wikipedia page immediately after his testimony to reflect his statements. The i.p. address was traced to the Republican’s side. 6. If it’s found out that Ford fabricated this story, she and everyone involved should be prosecuted to the fullest extent to the law. 7. If it’s found that Kavanaugh committed perjury, no matter how small, he should be disqualified.
