I don't believe in censoring comedy, so I'm fine with him doing it. And I think that the eye patch is fair game for comedy. That being said, his whole "whatever" approach to the candidate losing his eye in combat was not funny and poorly played. Popular comedy these days is mostly used as a political platform. SNL is so in the gutter. I would think this even if I was a bat-shlt crazy leftist.

 

I wish comedy these days was more used as a slight escape from work and politics and social issues. Last time I was in Chicago early this year, my GF wanted to go see Second City as she had never been. Sure enough when we went, political crap was on the comedy agenda. Can't get away from it even when you pay for simple entertainment and time off.
