This is a point often times overlooked or simply dismissed as "jobs that Americans won't do."

 

As long as there are jobs waiting for them here that arent available there, they will be motivated to get here. If we went after the employers hiring these people, we would cut off the problem at its source. A wall doesnt change their desire to get here. It just forces a good number of them to do it differently.

 

The problem with this whole issue is we all want our cake and we want to eat it also. The obvious example is we are fine with the home builder making their 18% gross profit margin as long as the house only costs us $200k. But we wouldnt be ok with the builder making their same 18% if their labor costs went way up and the same house cost us $300k.

I've advocated going after businesses for years. It was part of the Amnesty Reagan signed in 1986. Unfortunately, the government never did it so the illegals got amnesty and the U.S. people got screwed by their own government, as usual. Hence why a lot of people opposed to illegal immigration refuse to budge on border enforcement before granting another amnesty.
