I never paid it much mind. All I know is it’s an alternative form of money for computer nerds. I also know that the dumbest investor always loses and at least I have been smart enough to realize that I’d be the dumbest investor.

There is still tremendous benefit from this technology.

The underlying block chain yes. The tokens no.

Stuck $1600 in bitcoins in wintertime.  That's now become $2700.  It's been gaining value like crazy.   Getting a free $1000 is cool though  👍

If you invested smartly in baseball cards you are rolling in money right now

If you sold them at them at those high prices.

Maybe, but you need to sell to realize the profit.  And my Topps rookie Barry Bonds is worth what?  The one where he is batting in the Buccos uniform.

What pack of gum can I get a Bowman gold refractor card from?

2009 Bowman chrome

2011 Topps update box with trout rookie was about $65 when it came out. An unopened box is worth about $2500 today

Vintage prices on cards are crazy also.. Mantle rookies have gone up about 10x in last decade

If you're referring to the 1986 - Its a Topps Traded.

1987 standard issue Topps = not the rookie

I am still way down from when Bitcoin was up to 20k+ but way way up from my original investment when it was at $200 and Ethereum was below $20.

How close is the declared value to the retail value to the sold value?

You send it in as a declared value.. if you misrepresent the value they will notify you you owe more money to have the card graded..

Value is based off recent sales.. there is a database of sold listings for cards

1.  It’s real, I’m old, got it the old fashion way

2.  I just googled.  It’s the 87/88.  He’s holding up a number 1 in one hand and dribbling in the next.
