Badass, wasn’t it? What did you think of Sabaton?

They were good.  Very personable and fun.

Unfortunately I had to deal with some work sh1t halfway thru their set.  I could still hear them pretty good from the concourse at least.

Well, dying in a mosh pit is a better way to go than most.

I WAS drunk, but I don't think they played Crown of Horns, which I wanted to hear.

Maybe I'll avoid the 8% beers at the brew pub before Dropkick Murphys in a couple weeks.

When/where did you see them?  You can check out their setlists here:

According to that, they played Crown of Horns. Did I black out? Take a piss break? I don't know. Memories are fuzzy. I like to be "feeling good" at concerts, but not fukked up. Mistakes were made; I was fukked up at Priest.

Just saw Drug Church is playing Aftershock. If you have a chance, check them out and let me know what you think. They were touring with Halestorm but will be headlining when Aftershock is done.

I, too, have had some hazy memories of concerts due to too much drinking.  Definitely a delicate balance.

Just checked schedule and looks like I'll have to miss Drug Church as they are playing at the same time as Till Lindeman.  Maybe I'll get another chance to see them at some future date.

New Dream Theater single released today.  New album comes out in Feb.  Can't wait to see them again with my kids.

So good having Mike Portnoy back.

We just got back from Vegas to see the Eagles at the sphere. I don’t even really know where to begin to tell you how incredible it is. It probably was the coolest concert experiences I’ve ever had.

Highly highly recommended if there’s anybody remotely you like that comes out there go see it. It’s quite the experience.

+1

I will probably snatch some Linkin Park tickets tomorrow during presale :dunno:

My son just gave me a heads up that NIN should be announcing 2025 tour dates soon.

Hopefully tour comes to PNW.  If not then this is a show I would definitely travel to see.

Last saw NIN on the "Hesitation Marks" tour w the kids.  So good.

Actually, no.  Looks like a cool venue though.

I might look into the Apocalyptica show on 3/1 -- they are cello band that does metal songs, looks like this show is a tribute to Metallica.

Snagged our main floor tickets.  Decent enough seats.

I first thought about looking at mezzanine as my daughter-in-law is short, but they were crazy expensive and combined w some kind of VIP package.

Wife is at a Chicago concert right now. Before leaving she said "I'm going to the Chicago concert!  What are their hit songs?"

Me:  :dunno:  Well known band, who probably has some hits... but damned if I can name any.

I saw them in 1974 with Steely Dan. I think the tickets were $8.00. Maybe less.

Upcoming shows...

NIN

Blood Incantation

Steven Wilson

Aftershock Festival.  Bands I care about: Dream Theater, Gojira.  Maybe Testament.

Between The Buried And Me

Edit: Saw Sessanta 2.0 a few weeks ago.  Puscifer / APC / Primus.  Wasn't too familiar w Primus aside from a couple of songs but HOLY FOCKING SH1T is Les Claypool amazing on bass!  Didn't matter that I didnt know the song, it was just mesmerizing listening to him play.

ohh, give a Testament review as well. They're a great band. Fun fact Primus guitarist Larry Lalonde is on Possesed's Seven Churches, considered by some as the 1st Death Metal album.

Of course everyone focuses on the bass but Larry is right there in the background making all these hellish noises :music_guitarred:

Do you actually like Train and Father John Misty? Or they just happen to be playing there? I just can't get into FJM. And Train are no-talent hacks, IMO. I thought about going to this, but Alabama Shakes is the only one I'd really be into. Sheryl Crow would be cool too, but I've seen her.
