What concerts do you have coming up?

I'm bound and determined to go see Tyler Childers on Thursday in KC, but dang these secondary market prices are outrageous.  As it stands now, I'm going to be paying about $640 for a couple mediocre tickets :bench:

That sucks.  How large of a venue?

Down to about 60 pairs, but $460 for a pair of crappers now.  Show is tomorrow night.

I like the song "Summer of '69" but it's always bothered me how the math never added up.  Unless the dude was like 50 when the song came out.  I think he just wanted to say "me and my baby in '69".

Are the resell seats next to yours?  If so you could be tempting karma as the folks could turn out to be obnoxious azzholes...

just say you bought them after market as well.

I did the Tyler Childers and it was well worth it.  I have Black Keys & Turnpike Troubadours coming up in Auguts.  Also looking at Wu-Tang, Nas and De La Soul coming up in October in Northwest Arkansas.

Didn’t catch what part of the country you’re from? Big city or country girl?

Just saw this video.  Love how he dealt with the stage crasher.  Didn't miss a beat.

We sold our home in Topanga, California, and bought a nice home on five acres in the country in the Fort Worth area in an excellent school district. Seeing as I spend a bit of time on a lawn tractor, perhaps I'm hybrid country-city, much like my gender. I love working outside and have a garden, although it's a pain in the tush to maintain because of the heat around here lately.

But it all beats living in California, and I'm swinging a golf club while wearing skorts on the course in December.

Awesome, one of your favorite bands!

In December I'm seeing the artist I always wanted to see but never did (other than Tool); better 30 years later I guess -- Billy Joel.  As a bonus, Stevie Nicks is also performing.  I presume they'll do some stuff together as well.

Billy Joel is a bucket-list concert for me. My daddy played him for me a lot when I was a kid. He was actually partial to the pre-"Stranger" material.

I was 10 when the Stranger came out; it was my intro to Joel and I was hooked.  52nd Street was great as well although a different, jazzier feel.  Glass Houses was good but IMO a clear step down.  One of my best friends in HS was a musician/percussionist (still is) and introduced me to Joel's earlier work; I played the beejeebus out of Songs from the Attic.

We wore out "Piano Man," "Turnstiles" and "Streetlife Serenade." I have them on vinyl.

I haven't been to a concert in easily 15-20 years. This one was a small, open air venue in Napa near oxbow market. Several food trucks and a lot of bars.  Never felt too crowded. Fantastic evening. going to start doing more of this.

We saw them at Red Rocks with Old Crow Medicine Show as the opener. It was great. Best venue in America.
